Do you change the size of the 3bet ip or op?

Hey Shadow,
When I open I make it 3.5-4x UTG, 3x from middle positions and then either 2x or 2.5x on the button depending on the blinds frequencies. I.E if somebody 3bets too much I will 2x and if somebody calls alotttt I will make it 2.5-3x. As always in poker although you have initial guidelines on bet sizing it is all about making good adjustments vs opponents.
If I am 3betting oop I make it 10-11 from a normal 3x open and 9 from a normal 3x open ip.

What is your criteria to decide the optimal open raise size?
just adjust your sizing based on how wide your range is. Basically if you are stealing wide from BU you probably can't continue vs a 3bet very often. Thus you want to make a smaller raise so that you can get away with your steals more cheaply.
Meanwhile if you are opening a strong range from UTG u wanna make it bigger to maximise your value.

MP - 3.5bb
CO - 3bb
BTN - 2.5bb
SB - 3bb
