[converted_hand][hand_history]Party, $0.10/$0.25 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players

MP: $157.03 (628.1 bb)
BTN: $23.37 (93.5 bb)
SB: $49.38 (197.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2♥ 9♠ A♥ 9♣
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.85, SB calls $0.75, Hero calls $0.60

Flop: ($2.55) T♠ 9♦ Q♦ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $1.82, SB folds, Hero calls $1.82

Turn: ($6.19) 7♠ (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $5.89, Hero calls $5.89

River: ($17.97) T♥ (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $12.81, Hero raises to $16.44 and is all-in, BTN folds

Results: $43.59 pot ($2.17 rake)
Final Board: T♠ 9♦ Q♦ 7♠ T♥
Hero mucked 2♥ 9♠ A♥ 9♣ and won $41.42 ($20.05 net)
BTN mucked and lost (-$21.37 net)

My question is, what on earth could villain have here that he is folding for $2 more. I guess I did right in keeping his bluffs in?

Not a fan of the preflop call. A pair of nines is too weak, and simply calling out of position with nothing but a potential nut flush draw is pretty bad.

There are going to be flops likes K :heart:T5  where you get your stack in 65/35 behind, or flops like AJ2 where you have no idea if you're ahead or behind. There is a lot of reverse implied odds with this hand and you should fold it OOP preflop.

The flop is a good example of this. There is a straight showing, a flush draw showing and you hit bottom set. You're not going to get value with this hand on a lot of boards.

The turn is a really nasty board for you now with 2 flush draws. Usually villain is going to check back his draws at this point and take a free card, whilst if villain is ahead he will make you pay to see the river.

River: Well villain clearly had a busted flush draw, a hand like A :diamond:J :diamond:9 :club::5 :club: wouldn't surprise me at all. You got lucky he missed his draw and made a desperate shove on the river.

Thanks. Obv PLO noob here but I'm trying to learn. Still trying to get a hang of what is playable. Which is one of the reasons I dropped down to 25 for PLO.
