wow gravegoods another micro whore with positive non-sd how da fuck?!? u guys need to teach me
I need a break! Just played for 2 hours and ive had the worst luck. I played decent, no hands i would have done differently.
I also just watched a intresting video from the psych section, about serotonin and how its gained out of certain foods.
Apparently it has positive affects on sleep, concentration, mood and motivation etc. etc. (All kind of positive stuff).
Due to the very extreme variation of my biorythem lately, i havent been eating healthy nor have i worked out alot.
Im gonna give it a shot, trying to get asmuch "tryptophan" as possible of this inside of me, combined with working out every day, i should improve/recover back to how i was feeling when i started this.. (Which was 110% pepped to beat poker, now its more like; Survive these work shifts and play some poker when i can, keeping the damage i cause to my bankroll small.. )
Lets get back on track!
-Sleep well, dont stay up knowing i have to go to work within 8 hours, it screws up the day. [Start at 06;00 means sleep at 22;00 at the latest.]
Up and out of bed within 1 min of waking up, dont get lazy!
-Workout every day, either before or after my work. FIND A WAY!
Wake-up-run on days that its possible, hit the gym before or after work. [Motivate myself by working by a progressive workout scedule, monitor myself for progress and motivation]
-Eat healthy 4-6 times a day. Very important to have good nutrition.
I need a good breakfast full of carbs, to wake me up and keep me going during the morning. I shouldnt eat too heavy before going to bed. +- 2gr of protein per KG of bodyweight. To maintain/gain muscle mass and to keep my serotonin levels high.
Lets see if i can notice any instant results, as in possitive changes to my game.
+10 motivation just from this post ^
EDIT 29 NOV; Its so hard! Im trying to wake-up at reasonable times but because every day is so different there is no pattern at all. Ive got 2 days off now, then another 4 day-shifts throughout the weekend.
Playing and learning asmuch as possible whilst not tilting.
I just got home from another wrecking nightshift and i´m going to bed now, but i´m glad you show intrest pleno , lets me know someone actually noticed there havent been updates! As soon as i wake up ill put some effort into making an update post.
Zzz
Wooo! Just worked out for 2 hours, had no energy in me at all but now im fine ![]()
So i guess i should let you all know whats happening for me and poker. It's OK actually. I play when i feel up for it, and obviously when i have time. (Not as often as i would want)
Over the last 30 days ive only managed to play ±7000 hands, but on the up side> no TILT.
This for me is a big achievement because i was honestly expecting to loose control because of these shifts. I was expecting myself to log on at times i really shouldnt and make silly mistakes but instead of this, i can control myself. When i'm feeling too tired or braindead:P or just not in the mood for concentrating, i make good use of my Gold-Status. Before, i would find myself playing for the sake of playing, and usualy loosing pots that i would have never lost in a proper state of mind.
Im learning alot from especially the psych. articles. A new world of knowledge on how to control your emotions, mood, motivation and concentration has appeared since i got my Gold status.
I now know that various foods, and exercise influence how you feel, for a certain time. For example, if i know i want to be very concentrated within 2 hours, i now know that i should eat some eggwhites! WTF? Yea, read for the articles yourself! Who would have ever thought that having a steak for breakfast, has a very positive effect on your thinking throughout the day?
Appart from reading articles im also watching video's, which is resulting in me copying the way they think (the makers of the videos). I can notice when i have a hand worth thinking, i reason my decision the way i should without it being too intense and time-taking.
I'm currently not reading any books on poker, this is something i would want to get back to because "The Poker Mindset" really did alot for me. Somehow reading anything for more than 30min's sucks the energy right out of me. Energy being something i dont have too much of, i rather cut it up to reading one article at a time and actualy play some poker. When/If i ever have an entire day of nothing to do, you can count on it that i'll try and read a whole book in 1 go.
As far as revieuwing my sessions, i havent been posting hands on the forum nor have i been updating this thread alot.
For the first, there can be no excuse. After every session i really need to post a couple of hands for reviewing. I'll try to slowly build that up and make it a habbit.
For the second, updating this thread i have to say, typing a post like this one, easily takes up anywhere between 30min-hour because i actually have to think what im going to typ AND translate my thoughts to English AND try not to make it look too ruffed. So i hope you all understand, in a week where i barely have time to play poker, i dont want to be spending an hour of my time updating you on how very poor my volume was every day.
Some things you might not know;
I'm currently playing at PartyPoker. I moved my roll there, main reason being that it takes far too much time to find a fishy table at Pokerstars, and somehow there is always some at PP.
I'm playing 4NL mainly, but if i spot a fishy NL10 table, i open that. (I close the 4NL's to avoid confusion). ^This sofar has resulted in +3BI 's at NL10 over only 500 hands played there. Table selection is something that pays of for sure!
I'm clearing a 100$ bonus (4x25$) which is good for pushing me to play more. I'm afraid i wont clear the whole bonus but im confident i can easily manage atleast half.
- Between Xmas and NewYear i have 6 days of work and i want to spend a proper evening playing live poker. My budget would be 200€ for the night preferably at a 1€/2€NL table, good idea? Any tips on what i can do to stay focussed in the casino, i can imagine with ±20 hands an hour it can get pretty boring so what do you pro's do to hang in there.
Now how am i going to end this thread..
Spoiler
Ima have some steak and grind some pokers now ♦
