RakeBack at Poker770 - I was wrong

I'd probably play approx .25/.50 LHE there since iPoker LHE games are low population and most of my roll is on Stars.

This would generate about $150/m rake gaining Silver VIP level and a 200% multiplier

6600 loyalty points/mo (estimate)

Then, a year and a half later once (I've collected 118000 points) I am then able to recover 9% rakeback on $2681 rake paid.

<10% rakeback with 1.5 years of loyal play

OR

I can deposit ~100, get 200% in ... 3 months? + the 50 from PS, generate 450 in rake and get over 50% rakeback for 3 months without even considering points.... then I would probably have no motivation to play there, just like whats already happened with WH.

Seriously how can they expect to retain low limit players with such a model

Their 200% deposit bonus requires 14000 points at roughly 9.2 cents per point. this comes out to about $1250 rake paid to complete in 45 days. The cost to them when I fail is zero. Supposing I make nothing and clear the bonus (for simplicity).

Rakeback = 50 (PS$) + 7.70 + 200 = ~260 which is roughly 20% rakeback excluding points. On 14k points I'd end up with gold status during one month by default. This turns into basically 50k points after the boost and leaves me just shy of an additional 10% rake back.

Welcome to 30% rakeback... but those 200% welcome bonuses are so attractive.
