You inspired me to give Buy-in MTT a shot, as I thought what harm could it do?

Two days, four tournaments, three times ITM and one final table later, I've won just over $300.

I think I've found a new game! :f_cool:

Wow, im glad to hear that i inspired someone to do something.. feels kinda special :) Congrats on you success, very nice indeed. I'd only like to warn you that variance in mtts is really enormous and even though immediate success does feel really good, the harsh true is that you will probably not be able to keep up to this pace.

For example, look at my graph:

In last 150 mtts (i play about 15 a day) i had only one reasonable cash - 530 dollars for a win. Other than that, i would just play for many hours (i would mostly play on friday/saturday, i would start playing at 3 pm and last tourney that i register into starts at 8.30 pm, unless i run like shit the session would be over at like midnight at best) and make no or very little profit. Its very hard psychologically to play for this many hours couple of days in a row and make no profit at all.
Being a full time MTT player is just not as easy as you might think and it takes a really strong mindset to become one.

Btw why dont you start a blog as well? ;)

I've only been doing 99c buy-in MTT, and have been able to get to the money each time, while I know this is not going to continue completely, buying in for only 99c means that my bankroll is strong enough to cope with such variance.

I had a blog for doing cash games, but I decided to let it die because no one wants to read about NL5 or 10. Plus, I had no facts n chicks :f_love:

Had the best day since i started playing sngs again. Ran pretty hot (and put some major suckouts on people), played well and made almost $150 smackaroos. If i continue to run like this for the rest of the year then this will be epic. Also hit my first royal of the year:

Thanks mate :) I'll for sure keep it up, dont worry :)

Btw i have my new favourite line by Tony G, from The Big Game Season 1 Week 7 Episode 1:
Tony G: "Did you ever start getting doubts, Phil? Like 'maybe im not as good as i think'."
Antonio Esfandiari: "Its a valid question. Im really curious because he really thinks that he's the best."
Tony G: "Like he lies in beds and thinks 'Shit, maybe i've been wrong'."

Made me lol so hard

There was a prop bet between Esfandiari and Dwan at a PAD if what Hellmuth says if you ask him if he's the best NLHE player in the world. Dwan was naive enough to take the bet.

OK i dont believe that.. How can durrrr be dumb enough to bet on that? _o:

Anyway had a first bad session of the year.. Finished like 15 bones in profit, but played really bad. I was pretty tilted and tired from the beginning and didnt really feel like putting any thoughts over my decision. Still flipped good enough to win 5 out of 16 sngs which was good enough to have a profit. Also played vs. the biggest fish i have seen this year, he called my cbet on AK7r flop with 65s, made a six on the river and called my 2x pot bet with 4th pair..

I also have to find some new run good music, because Taylor Swift starts to tilt me..

Oh and btw - one more goal for this year. Its more of a matter of pride other than anything else. Its to make TOP 5 on sharkscope leaderboard for total profit in 6max regular speed $5-$15 buyin. I'm 6th atm, so i guess top 5 should be doable..

And also, im thinking about depositing some money on Party Poker and play here as well. 2 reasons - super spicy donks and i will be getting strategy points. However, the software sucks big time and i will not be able to play as many sngs as on PS. So we will see.

I've been thinking about my moving up to $15 sngs and i dont know really.. there are several really good regulars and i dont really see a reason for me to play here other than making SN (because the variance will be much higher and my avg profit will probably be the same or lower than what i make now), which isnt that high on my priority list to be honest. And i dont really mind playing $7 sngs forever either.

Just a quick rl update:
Beat - was caught by ticket inspector (forgot to mark my ticket) and will have to pay 1K CZK (bout fiddy dollas). They dont even accept credit cards, motherfuckers.
Brag - passed all exams i needed to and will be able to study in 2nd semester. Weee!
Variance - i'm awesome. I take the fine as a tax for being so awesome.

Also, i have to share these links:
Sick hand between Viffer and Duthie

Watch that im thinking of buying

Poincares - thanks mate :)

Played the most epic hand of my life I was playing just one table, so as i always do i was berating this german guy in chat. Some FYROM (thats a country, not a name) guy was playing along with me and im pretty sure that villain was pretty tilted at this point. We pulled of all bycicle lines and some more. The mad german told me that "i'm disrespectful" and all the shit. I think Tony G would be proud of me.

Well i usually get the people tilted enough to play bad against me, so i dont really see anything bad with trash talking. And btw, I dont tell people some seriously bad stuff, just classic Tony G lines and some of my own. ;)

well saying "what a donk" might discourage a recreational player to leave, so why risk?
