Hi Jkob,

What does the entry "call 20" mean?
Basically, you are playing small pairs just trying to hit a set on the flop. This happens in just 12% of all cases, but you have a strong hand when you hit it and your opponents will often pay you off. This is important, since you have to compensate for all the small losses where you have invested money without hitting a set.

yeah but what does that 20 means? What bet should I still call? Which one is too high?

Ah sorry,

you can call with small pairs when you and your opponent have at least 20 times the amount of the raise left in their (or his/her) stack. That is what "call 20" means.

why 20 times, if you hit 1 set in 9 times, wouldn't it be cool to even call by 12 times the amount. it is still profitable no?

Hi matkov,

the problem is, that you won't win the whole stack every time you hit your set. In th past it was call 15 but it turned out that most of the beginners weren't able to play their pocket pairs profitable that way. That's why they changed it to call 20.
