The ID checks are in place to protect both PokerStrategy (from fraudulent multiple applications) and yourself (so that we know who you are and would know if anyone else pretended to be you).

They are straight forward and all data/pictures provided are treated in the strictest of confidence and never provided to anyone outside of PokerStrategy's customer support team.

It's a one-off process and once completed, would not be requested again. For info, all poker platforms also request similar before you withdrawal, again to protect you and ensure that you receive the money and not someone pretending to be you.

You do have an alternative to providing ID, you can deposit your own funds into one of the first deposit bonuses provided by PokerStrategy. This way, you would not be entitled to the free $50, but would still earn PokerStrategy points and enjoy all of the other benefits membership here provides.

I hope you understand that I'm not trying to cause any grief. I am just a big fan of liberty, and that's why I feel and speak the way that I do. I believe that the men who died in WW2 died to protect us from having to carry around ID everywhere. But there are a great many scum bags out there who through their crimes have caused laws to be passed that now remove our freedoms. Anyway, I could go on and on...

I appreciate that PokerStrategy.com offers me an alternative option!

Not that I wanted to sign up for another poker site either, but what the heck, it's worth it to access the course! Besides that's PokerStars fault for not allowing me to register my current account. I think I may let their customer service know that I would much rather be paying rake to them than Full Tilt.
