It's good if you build big stacks often, though iff you have trouble in converting in the big MTT I can help you. Using your bigstack to bully other players, is the thing I do best in MTTs, if I get deep I'm kinda unstoppable.
Send me your email through skype if u want to have a training session.

heya, thanks for encouragement. yeah, I do push around with a big stack and take full advantage of ICM when I can, but also there are those that don''t regard ICM, and people are calling quite loose with short stacks (correctly) it turns out the best strategy is not to overdo it, and protect your big stack from aggressive shorties that are taking -EV spots..

sure it's only $2.50's but some of the competition is becoming very sophisticated. still, I won't pass up a session, if I can. I thought you had my email, sorry.

tourneys: 71 roll: $797.17

coolers all day, had many AK, AQ, AJ cooled, also KK, and JJ three times.

I felt good though and played my A game so no complaints. Would have broken even except for a HU hand where I shoved AK, called by KQo and lost to a straight.

well, good that they call I guess?

this hand was a tough call, although Nash agrees it's the bottom of my rangei if UTG is shoving correctly 18.6%, 22+ A3s+ A9o+ K9s+ KJo+ Q9s+ J9s+ T9s - my guess is the call was break even at best and I should have let it go - even though winning the flip would mean a lot too.

was big stack in most tourneys too, which is just unlucky, tomorrow we'll kill it.

was wondering if you guys wanted to extend the stake into November, I feel kind of bad only being slightly in profit (well better than deep in loss!)

thanks for the review today, obviously why a short day. it was very helpful, and I noticed my game simplify and my stacks become larger much earlier.

good fortune.

tourneys: 84 roll: $789.29

another shitty day, getting coolered and sucked out everywhere. was deep in big $4 at one point but it evaporated..

again getting big stacks in most tourneys, but not holding up. playing well, made a few minor mistakes today, and quit before tilt. biggest mistake not avoiding coolers and getting sucked out on.

lost 6 out of 19 pf with KK. cooled only once. only lost one AA pf all in, but was sucked out on another, lost JJ ai 4 times pf, you get the picture. I'm a whipping boy for stars..

I also lost 4 out of 10 when all in on the flop and ahead more than 80%.. it's amazing that I managed only to lose a few BI and not tilt.

the only bright note was winning a $0.44 rebuy satellite to the micromillions main event. $22 which I cashed out to tournament $$. I should probably play more satellites they are very soft.

Hey, I've thought about extending the stake and I would happily go ahead with it, but if the other staker doesn't agree and you don't put in the rest of the money I feel like a 60-40 in your favour is a bit excessive cause I'd be the only person who takes the risk of the 100% of the downswings and only 40% of the upswings

Tourneys: 66 Roll: $954.63

Short day with a late start, turned into a long day when the last tourney I regged to the big $2.20 went deep and finished in 5th out of 3000 runners for about $260 (almost $300 CDN) saved my miserable day that I've forgotten all about for now.

Will review in the morning.. Last hand got trapped AQ>AT and out but was last in chips coming to FT anyway, so not bad performance.

Next time will be first - I couldn't take advantage of such donk play at the FT it should have been easier but was also card dead and way outchipped. Laddering up ended up my best option. The pay jumps were huge. $45 for 9th and $900 for first.

I also outright won a freeroll to advance to the final to see the local hockey team, round two will be only one winner out of 180 runners.

Very many coolers and bad suckouts, I distantly remember AA being sucked out at lesat 3 times today.. Of to get some food and then bed - the life of an MTT grinder. Back at it tomorrow.

two days of absolute hell on the tables. I should have taken two days off FFS every single shove coolered or sucked out when it counted. had massive stacks in almost every tournney.. seems very strange.

we did much better today. 300% ROI on the 180s and several MTT cashes (nothing too large though) swingy huh? two days ago I dropped below $650. I took yesterday off and it seemed to help.

Interesting hand. Not sure about this. Wanted to make a small cbet but didn't bet enough, maybe 1100 leaving a more reasonable shove on the turn.

Hi there, I took a few days off, let's review those hands.

1.
If your plan is to shove turn then as you said you shouldave make a bigger cbet. However in these situations I like to get a closer look at the HuD and check if the villain will fold pocket pairs here or no. If he is not folding pocket pairs normally then I'd bet flop to take down bigger aces and generate pot size in case a diamond appears on the turn, I'd only shove turn if a diamond gets there cause we're probably folding some spp plus we have equity against bigger pairs and even Kx. If a diamond doesn't show up x/f turn.

2. I don't know what's your doubt there. That's by far the best way of playing it in 99.99% of the cases.

Sorry if this is a derail.

Hi NJboy,

"Using your bigstack to bully other players, is the thing I do best in MTTs"

I often build stacks but unfortunately don't seem to be able to bully. They always seem to play back and very soon I am back to mid/low stack again, Any chance you give us a few tips?

Regards

Steve

Morning,

I found this interesting and wondered what made you take this line.

Pre I would generally muck this. Did you have reads HUD stats on villain?
If he 4 bet Jam you fold?
You had planned pre to go with this hand on almost all flops turns?

I deffo think I missing 3 betting light in my game and therefore wondered if I have your thought process right?

Stake is continuing, sorry had some HEM troubles (it's a POS) but have played about 270 tourneys since last update and roll is only at $775.

will update more shortly.

Totals for the month. (Sorry HEM is screwed for knockout tourneys and winnings are reported wrong. The cashier is not wrong though)

Tourneys: 2307
Starting Roll: $750
Current Roll: 917.85
Rakeback $85
Total Profit not including rakeback: $167.85 (22%)

I'm going ahead for the rest of the month and rolling the rakeback into our roll so I can play up to $5 tourneys. I've been missing the $$4.50's and going to add them while I can.

Coming very close in big tourneys, cashed in micromillions $5 progressive knockout, and have had a couple of very deep runs in others. Finally won a 180 after a long drought yesterday.

I'm not tilting at all and playing A game. Still can't avoid those coolers and suckouts but soon I'll win a nice MTT for you guys.

HEM issues aren't so bad since I turned off anti-virus, but still hanging sometimes which is annoying. Also, updating often seems to be a bit of pressure - so every week or so if I can. msg me if you need. you can follow pretty well on sharkscope and OPR.

Good luck, I just arrived to London, we might see each other at the tables. I might start playing some of your stakes to take confidence and get a feel of the players and the level :)
