he had been folding to most barreling I had done previously (calling every flop and folding every turn)

thought he could have basically any 2 incluing a :club: and thought I could induce a bluff on river since pot his big he would try to take it with basically any 2 with a relatively big bet.

wrong thinking?

cant find the hand now, but with kq, villain has like 8-12bbs not sure exactly and you jam, i probs prefer to r/call.

everything else looks good, i'd probably bet small in hand where ihufa qwuestioned your turn check.

I always push or fold 13bb or below. what would be your raise/call range IP with 8-13bb (as opposed to to shoving range which I am familiar with)

I think it depends on oponent. If he is call stationary I push my KQ but if he rarely calls our minraise and mostly he 3bet/jam or fold I prefer minraise/call with KQ to induce shove from weaker hands which otherwise would fold.

yeh i'd mr/call kq/aq/ak/88+

you're not going to play the guy 100 times so its nto super important and people play bad and raise/fold off small stacks so he can shove lots of like q7s kinda hands that he mihgtn't call with and we dominant.

I am often happy with KQ, AQ, AK. with 88-JJ (especially 88-99) there are so many over-scare cards that comes on the board. and been very short I often dont find much room to manouvre. most bet on flop would nearly commit me.

When getting to 13bb efffective and bellow I have such a large shoving range. by shoving the top of my range as well I feel I am actually inducing him to make mistakes.

Doesnt someone with half a brain think that I have a monster if I start min raising there? and fold hands they would normally play? or a fish might call a speculative (with wrong implied obv but still hit the flop)

However it is probably something I need to work on and need to be added to my arsenal. Also probably good for my postflop skills.

Thing is vs oppponents who are calling a lot your minraises go ahead and just shove. But someone who are 3bet shoving or folding better is minraise.
Your minraise range should have 2 parts minraise/call and minraise/fold. So you can induce some worse hands shove or take blinds without risking to lose all your stack. But you still should shove small pp or weak A.
But mostly <10BB i think better is just use nash push/fold chart.

yes I am doing that already. I think pleno is implying than by minraising we might get a call by a weaker range than by a shove and then play it post flop IP.
