Easter Beast Report

Things started out okay, getting up to 28K after 2 levels. Picked up aces and got it in pre versus a maniac who had managed to only have 6k left behind. Had had pocket 2's.
I then lost a few small ones and was down to starting stack. Table was pretty aggro so planned to sit back a bit. Not a favourable table draw either but shit happens.
I then stayed at this stack size for the next couple of hours. Lost a big one when I got it in versus a shorty with two overs and a FD. Missed the world. Then picked up AK, raised, cbet the dry flop and got check raised after committing 20% of my stack. Fold.

Finally bust in level 11 after stealing and restealing to stay alive for what seemed to be forever. I shoved my 10 bigs over the line with A10 and got snapped by AK and the board was not favourable.

A few bad mistakes in the middle with a couple of suspect cbets and two very bad lay downs which I probably rushed into. Lesson learned.
Overall these mistakes would not have made a major impact on my stack. A frustrating evening. I tend to get a bit downhearted but shouldn't I know.

It was too late to fire a second bullet last night but if I can get to Manchester on Sunday I will have another crack. If not, I will give you the equivalent in another event, which could well be a £250 DS at DTD first weekend in May. It has a £100K gtd with 50 (yes 50) UKIPT main event seats gtd. Ridiculous!

On to the next one.

I will not be firing the second bullet in The Easter Beast!!

The main reason for this is that I got a call on Thursday from my new employer saying they want me to start on Tuesday. Waiting so long for the start date and Sod's law this happened. The FT of TEB probably won't finish until early hours of Monday morning so felt it not worth going for it if I won't be able to give it my full attention.

So, I am going down to Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham to play the £250 deep stack next weekend. I will honour your full % stake for this tournament which is obviously a loser for me but as I felt I played so bad on Thursday it's about right still IMO.

If in fact I do manage to also win a seat to The UKIPT ME the week after then I will also add this to our adventure as an alternative to me playing the £330 Notts cup side event. Obviously because this is over three times the BI if the £330 (£1100) everyone's stake will be halved for this event only.

Okay so as I only fired 1 bullet in the first one and played shit, I have decided to scrap that one and have our adventure start this weekend at the £250 DS at DTD.

Not sure why I put "next week" when it wasn't. Basically it all starts this weekend. We could also be playing the ukipt main event if we place in top 50 this weekend as explained before.

I will also be updating twitter now I know your on there so keep a check.
