...because + why not? + a good way to protect yourself from office injuries, such as back problems from sitting too much and loseing muscles tone in your back, or in my case neck injuries. sitting behind the computer all day isn't very healthy, must compansate.

i can do 9 :(

It's probably unhealthy to do pushups in wrong way and without preparations.

But well, I am in anyway. I can do some :f_biggrin:

Especially for beginners, don't do it every day, have some days off to let your muscles to recover, you'll get better results this way IMO. The biggest mistake most ppl do at the gym isn't not working out hard enough, but overtraining. (again just IMHO)

Oh and here's an instructional vid for beginners on how to do push ups, how to get started etc

Check out scoobys youtube channel, he has lots of cool fitness videos.

Hope it helps

Knee push-ups don't count :f_cool:

Well ofc it doesn't count as a full push up. That wasn't the point.

Ok I'm in for the 50k challenge too. My fitness plan included starting the P90X program in the new year anyway.

Giving up is not the way to go, man. Work your way up from lesser exercises and by the end of next year you'll be proud of yourself for doing it.
Here's an article for guys like you: (too bad the video isn't online anymore)

actually yeh im not gonna quit :) but then im not gonna aim for 50k either i would be very happy with 1k in a year 5k would be awesome but what are good exercises to build to push ups, generally im strong and have no problems lifting, pushing, pulling heavy things i just epic fail when it comes to push ups
