I'm sure some of these have been posted in here several times but here is my list of shows I have enjoyed.
24 - There are a lot of seasons and episodes. It gets a little repetitive but I enjoyed it.
The Wire - Classic, must watch. It starts off boring but gets quite good.
Sons of Anarchy - Lots of drama, lots of action etc.
Homeland - Same as SOA.
Tyrant
Dexter- I got to about season 5 or 6 of this and kind of got bored with it. It's alright though.
The Unit - War based, missions etc. It's decent.
I might be forgetting some stuff but I imagine most will enjoy the shows above.
