my PC is broken, motherboard, just after warranty, more common mistake of HP.
So I'm going to buy a new one probably.
I might put together a PC.
And otherwise I would buy a laptop, as I had a screen at home. At home I connect it to the screen and when I'm away I can just go on the laptop.
On what should you look for in a purchase?

Hi, sucks about your pc - when they dropped the prices they dropped the quality as well. 15 years ago a pc could run to over 1500 pounds, but it was built like a tank and lasted forever.
The answer to your question is simply that it depends - mostly on what you use your computer for and your budget, although there are some other factors.
Money no object I'd go for one of the new Apple Macbooks or a new Dell Alienware laptop.
Below that there's a huge number of brands, models, prices, sizes etc etc...
I think nowadays at the very least you should aim for something with an i3/i5/i7 processor, 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive, 17" screen and after that as much extra stuff as you can afford I suppose.

I think Dell and Asus are the best arround.
Not really fond of the macbook.

Just saw a alienware for 1099$, which is 750 euro!
Don't buy alienware. Its way overpriced and you get basically the same computer as alienware for half the price. Imo the best buy atm is asus G73 with 8gb ram, i7 proceser and radeon5870 for about 1.500$ which is about 1000€ and you might actually be able to play some games on it as well.
I checked out the alianware laptop with same configuration and it would be well over 3000$ so it really isn't worth getting just to have an alianware logo on it.
Oh and the G73 looks really baller 
In belgium the alienware ofcourse costs 1000euros. Can't I just shipt it?

Blue screen when I try to do recovery, black screen in safe mode. Did a diagnosis at shop, and person said it was a problem that's happened more.
Seems like harddrive is broken, but when they place a new one, it happens again after a while. It's a HP pavilion desktop.

Looks good, prices have come down quite a bit since the last time I was looking around.

EDIT-- Not sure if they ship abroad but in terms of a site thats price is competitive and having the option of configuring a machine to suit you, it does the job.

Not becoming the 404, was too expensive in shop. Maybe the other version: asus nf53sv sz016v
Instead of the 750gb drive, go for the 500gb seagate hybrid. Pretty much the best of both worlds in terms of speed and storage and it's not that much slower than the lower end SSD's.
EDIT-- What's your purpose?
Is it in a different model? 7200rpm is a lot I guess? I ordered it already.

The hybrid is 7200 rpm, which is standard for laptop drives. Full name is Seagate Momentus XT if you want to check out prices and functionality, I think in terms of cost it's 1/4 of an SSD and only marginally slower, in relation to the lower end SSD's. I think there is a video on youtube that compares 4 drives (Hybrid, SSD, 10k rpm and 7.2k rpm), I'll try and find it for you. Hope it helps!
