Lithuania, we can only play basketball good
Tomorrow will be interesting day for us.
First alpine skiing Super-G. I hope Tina Maze hits the podium again. Then great hockey match Slovenia: Slovakia and finally ski jumping with Peter Prevc. Best possible scenario we get 2 medals and great victory vs Slovakia in hockey
Regarding the 1500m speed skating
They should stop looking at the thousandths of seconds in speed skating, it's cost us 2 golds already.
The Russians just got completely f*cked over by the refs. Damn Yanks...
Oh well, at least it was a great game to watch.

If you mean the last goal, it was pretty clear that it was not a goal because goal was out of position, unlucky.

With the 500m it was actually more than 0.01 seconds, and that distance is all about such small differences. And it was a Dutch gold medal either way. Still very unfortunate for Smeekens though of course.
But today was just ridiculous. Losing a gold medal on 0.003 seconds on 1500m is just retarded. I don't understand why they don't do the same thing as with skiing where they don't look at the thousandth (spelling?) seconds. Just give gold twice and bronze once.
And I would've felt the same way if it were the other way around or even if there were no Dutch people involved at all. This is just really terrible imo.
I also kinda lost respect for the Polish guy that won because he told Verweij "Sorry, but that's just the sport". Way to rub it in, dude. That's just very disrespectful and rude imo. He shouldn't have said that after Verweij lost in such a sick way.
Of course, a Silver medal is still great! And we also got another medal, for shorttrack this time! Bronze this time, so we have another two medals ![]()
I'll end my rant here ![]()
Also the Russia vs US game was pretty sick!
And we have another one, Peter Prevc is bronze in ski jumping. And Slovenia won vs Slovakia in hockey today with insane goal scored by Anže Kopitar.
Incredible games so far for Slovenia.
Congratulations also to our neighbors for Ivica's medal. I am sure all Slovenia cheered for him yesterday.
So we crushed Norway 6-1, tomorrow tough game against Canada. We also loose one of our top players for lower body injury. ![]()
Silver medal from women post cross-country skiing.
Gold, silver and bronze in speed skating again ♦ And an honorable mention for a Dutch 4th place there as well!
At the moment we have the most medals with a grand total of 17!
Gold, silver and bronze in speed skating again grin And an honorable mention for a Dutch 4th place there as well!
Watched this. Incredible. Congratulations. I was cheering for Netherlands, because of you
And about the measuring in thousandths of seconds, that difference could be made alone by the distance the starting shot has to travel towards the skater

You lost respect for polish guy because he said: " "Sorry, but that's just the sport"?
What is impolite in this sentence?First of all I think You've never heard about him before.... the second this is demagogic. If you practise some sport you must accept hard rules (the rule was - measure time to 0.001), the only person responsible for his lost was dutch guy
Netherlands is the greatest power in speed skaiting, a lot of contestants, trainers, indoor skating rinks (we don't have any of them ) Polish guy isn't a full time professional sportsman he's fireman and his training conditions were semi amateurish.
quote fo Dutch skater:
"If You can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same"
Rudyard Kipling
Tough match against Canada, we loose 2-1 in overtime.
But we are in top 4.
e. Top 8 actually but atm in top 4.
