Håvard Bøkko made it to the 4th. That's baaaad. Should have taken the 2nd. There have been some trouble with his coaches, I think thats made an influence (think I spelled it correctly) on him.

I'm looking forward to the cross-country skiing tomorrow.
And the snowboarding, whenever that'll be.

My family and I watched the torch relay when it came by our area on Thursday, and just happened to end up being right where it was handed off. Awesome.

We also wandered around downtown Vancouver today. Wall-to-wall people, of course. The queues for some of the free venues and pavilions were almost an hour long - about the only queues that were longer were the ones for the bathrooms (okay, I'm exaggerating, but it sure feels like they were).

We aren't rich, lucky, or well-connected enough to get tickets to any events, but I'm looking forward to watching downhill skiing, hockey, snowboarding, and freestyle aerials.

And, of course, I'm sure that almost everyone's thoughts are with Nodar Kumaritashvili's family and teammates.
