The season opener i don't think there will be much in this game but i'm hoping for a Liverpool win 2-1.

Haven't watched soccer in a long time. It looks so weird with the empty stadium and only a few people cheering and all. Almost has a bit of a Sunday League atmosphere, except with top teams.
The crowed dulled crowed noise you can hear in the background is recorded from previously played matches and played for TV audiences so it's a bit strange.All the players would be able to hear is the other players officials and coaches with no crowed noise.
At NHL games -- and apparently baseball games as well -- the canned crowd noise is piped into the arena/ballpark, so the players have more of the "feel"
It would be weird.

It's indeed weird. The Netherlands played yesterday evening in a empty stadion. Normal there are more than 50k people in.

When I was a kid, we had some tabletop soccer games, and sometimes my brother and I would commentate it as if it was a real game - complete with "player interviews" during the breaks with us talking to ourselves - and record it on audio cassette tapes. Some of those recordings still exist.
At one point, we even had some toy spectator stands (couldn't find any pictures) that would make crowd noises on the press of a button. There was one for continuous background noise, one for cheering, one for groaning, one for air horns and one for referee's whistles.
Never would we have imagined that something like that would eventually be used in real sports games...
It is especially ironic since television comedy shows are getting away from canned laughter
