The Totalizator ("The Tote") can be beaten; you are betting in a pool against other punters.
However, the rake in Australia for example is 30%. THIRTY PERCENT. You absolutely cannot beat that rake level under any circumstances. Heck even if everyone else punting was a complete casual pub punter picking numbers at random and names they liked, and you were an industry insider with horse blood in your veins, you would still probably not get past 30% rake.
The punting industry is only for suckers, bookies, and connections of crooked jockeys.
No, I´m making money betting on tennis and basketball, but horse racing is the other sort of sport where you can beat bookies. But Im not sure if any algorithm helps you to do that. From my point of view its really hard because bookies use a lot of software too... and probably more qualite... and If bookies find it out they will block your account as well as doing arbitrage etc. I guess the only way is valueabetting...
