Surprisingly St Louis beat Chicago. Chicago has been amazing in game 7's and came back from 3-1 to 3-3 this year, but a great achievement by the Blues.
Tonight game 7 between Anaheim and Nashville and the first second round match between Tampa and the New York Islanders (who should thank the referees for winning game 6 versus the Panthers btw).
Stats leaders.
Goalies:
1. Holtby (WSH) 0.84 GAA, .968 SV%. Keeping his Vezina like form.
2. Andersen (ANA) 1.26 GAA, .955 SV%.
3. Bishop (TAMPA) 1.61 GAA, .950 SV%.
Points
1. Jamie Benn (DAL) 6 games, 10 points
2. John Tavares (NYI) 6 games, 9 points
Jason Spezza (DAL) 6 games, 9 points. Filling in the injury from Seguin nicely.
4. Kucherov, Crosby, R. Smith, Burns 8 points.
Surprised mostly about 1) the bad officiating in the Panthers/Islanders series. They really changed the series around with a lot of questionable calls (although Tavares was finally amazing for the Islanders), 2) that Minnesota could win 2 games against Dallas, 3) the Kings losing in 5 (!) games to the Sharks. Pavelski has been awesome for San Jose and their D owned the Kings D without Martinez. 4) Reilly Smith (FLA) getting 8 points in 6 games while posting a +7 rating, 5) Lundqvist and Quick posting below .90% save percentages in the play offs

Rompas what do you think about Forsberg btw? Like, what is his ceiling? During the regular season I found him stretches of games a bit 'soft' but so far he has done very well in his two play off appearances.i would say one of the biggest Swedish talents we seen in the last years, remember hes still only 21 years old and during his time in the league he have been productive regularly , he had a slow start this season i think but second half of the season really good.
Could be a top 10 star in the league within a few years i think
I read this interesting article about Forsberg btw, in comparison to Jaden Schwartz of St Louis.

Nashville won the 7th game with Anaheim, for me a big suprise they won this series but well done.
New York Islanders won the first game with Tampa Bay in 2nd round, also not expected in my eyes
For you SDK, 2nd round series is
Tampa Bay- New York Islanders, i think Islanders will win in 7 games
Washington- Pittsburgh, i think Washington will win in 6 games
Dallas - St Louis, i think Dallas win win in 7 games
San Jose- Nashville I think Nashville will win in 6 games
One game played during night, Washington beat Pittsburgh after overtime 4-3, T.J Oshie had a hattrick including the game winner
Ty for the 2nd round matches. Hopefully Tampa Bay will surprise the New York team.

Np Yw
2 games during the night,
Dallas won 2-1 against St Louis after a late goal in 3rd period
San Jose beat Nashville 5-2, but the game was even 1-1 to middle of 3rd period
all teams that advanced to this 2nd round won their 1 game in the first round so will be intresting to see if that trend stays in 2 round
2 games during night,
Tampa Bay won 4-1 with New York Islanders and series is now tied 1-1
Pittsburgh won 2-1 with Washington and series tied 1-1
Nice victory of Tampa Bay. Hopefully they can win the 3rd match as well to take the lead in the series.
San Jose took a 2-0 lead in series after late goals in 3rd period in a 3-2 win against Nashville.
St Louis tied the series 1-1 after a overtime win 4-3 with Dallas
Only 1 game during the night, Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead in series after a 3-2 win, i am really impressed by rookie goalie Murray that have been really great in the playoff so far, 47 saves tonight and so far at 94,4% in save % , will be a tough serie for Washington
Busy night in NHL, 3 games played.
St Loius beat Dallas 6-1 and lead now 2-1 in series, Swede Alexander Steen scored 2 goals and was star of the game :f_thumbsup:,
Nashville won their first game in the series against Anaheim , 4-1 but still down 1-2 in serie
Tampa Bay scored late in 3rd period and also got the overtime winner in a 5-4 win, leading series 2-1 now
One game played during night,
Patrik Hörnquist scored the game winning goal 3-2 in overtime to give Pittsburgh a 3-1 lead in the series,, Can Washington turn this around?
Dallas equalises the series 2-2, the same did Nashville at home. Both games went to overtime (and Nashville's game even to third overtime). Exciting match ups in the West and also the Capitals/Penguins series is exciting.
Have seen some matches between New York and Tampa and with all the injuries at both sides it's chaos: high scoring games, lots of bad calls and mediocre play. But it's fun to watch. The advantage for Tampa if they go onto the next round is that Anton Stralman is already skating and also Stamkos could be near to a return.
On a sidenote. Jagr, 44 years old, has signed another year contract with the Florida Panthers. Jagr is third in all time points in the NHL while playing a substantial period of ~5 years in the Russian KHL. Last year he amassed 66 points in 79 games which is absolutely stunning for a 44 year old in this current day and age.
It’s indeed crazy that a 44 old player still play at that level. I don’t think that would happen too often in the NHL.
Tampa won again in overtime 2-1 , in a game where i think New York Islanders was better but they couldnt scored, i dont think Islanders can turn this around. 3-1 to Tampa in series now
