Br challenge

I'm an amateur poker enthusiast from the UK playing micro stakes cash games on various sites for fun.Ive been playing poker as a hobbie on and off the around 15 years.Although i have played very little over the last 5 years. But due to some current health issues i have lots of free time on my hands. And decided to return to poker and set myself a challenge for 2020 to beat the micros. My main game type is 6max regular tables.

:diamond: Starting Br = $60
:diamond: 30 buy-in bankroll strategy
:diamond: 10 buy in shots at 30 buy ins
:diamond: Challenge complete = 50nl $3000

Current bankroll = $60
Target for 5nl = $125

So not the best of starts after 1500 hands i'm a little under half a buy in down but i'm adjusting to a new player pool and software on 888 which takes a little time.So all things considered i cant grumble and hopefully look forward to some more profitable sessions in the near future.

Best time to catch me streaming is between 7pm-11pm although i'm not keeping a strict schedule. So feel free to pop by and say hey even if it's just for a few seconds it's always appreciated.

Highlight of one of the better moments from the session.

Good luck with your bankroll challenge on 888poker.

The games have definitely got tougher since you last played. Although 2NL at 888 is still full of maniacs.

I hope you do better than I have on there. I have a ridiculously low win rate at 2NL of something like 1.5BB over 400k hands.:f_cry: I think it's a combination of high rake and running bad. Well, that's my excuse.

I play mainly on Pokerstars now. I am running good there and the rake is much lower. So my bankroll is growing nicely.

I think I will pop onto 888poker and play against you. Maybe my luck will change on there.:f_tongue:

Frustrating session today losing a couple of buy ins i'm not sure i could do to much about a few of the spots.Other spots i think i misplayed and probably made bad folds.

Good winrate so far. But if you were playing on Pokerstars your winrate would be 25bb/100 due to paying much less rake.

The games on Pokerstars are no longer mitigated by the fish to regs ratio like they once were.

Due to the four table cap, it is now easy to find tables full of loose players like they are on 888poker.

Best sites for stakes:

2NL Pokerstars - 3.5% rake - 888poker 6.66%

4NL Unibet - 1% rake - 888poker 6.66%

10NL Unibet - 3% rake / $2 cap
- 888poker 5% rake / $4 cap

Only reason why I occasionally play on 888poker is because I managed to spin up a bankroll from my first small deposit. Had I chosen to play on Pokerstars, with good table selection, I'd be $600 richer today.

Just 5% rake, rakeback and bonuses on 888poker? I am paying 6.66% rake with a measly 2% rakeback.

I assume you signed up to 888poker via a rakeback affiliate?

Once I have sorted out my ID I am closing all my high rake poker accounts and depositing on Unibet.

5% rake on GG poker i'm thinking of switching there for 5nl and up.The GG poker deal and rakeback +bonuses appears to be really good. And ye i signed up to 888 and GG poker with pokerstrategy to collect the points.

Hi,

Following your blog for some time now. GL with your poker journey!

I've got a kind request! Could you post your hands in a different format? A formatted text would be perfect! :f_drink:
