Came 3rd in a 1.50 re-buy tourney on the PKR room. Was super happy. won 43 dollars, and didn't re-buy once.

sometimes you cannot rebuy if you exceed a certain number of chips, doubling or tripling up in the first hand might prevent you to rebuy, then you might be above that threshold during all of the rebuy period, I do agree that if there is an addon and you are quite deep you should almost always go for it (except if it is a very little proportion of your stack)
I thought you meant it as you were intentionally trying not to rebuy or add on.
