2014 - Great year!

I think it's the first year I have actually dedicated myself to working real hard. End result, pretty successful. After the first 3 months where I made 100bi's at 200NL for each of Jan/Feb & March I decided to do some side projects. Investing in some Real Estate in the USA and working on some side businesses as well.

Poker, well, it will always be what it is. A very challenging and great game. Also good for the bank account. :D

I'd like to congratulate the first student of mine who has finished his deal and amazingly made $100k in 2014! Congratulations ZhiCheng! He's a great student with very good work ethic. Not everyone is going to make $100k in a year but through some hard work, it's possible!

To everyone else on my team, Good Luck and may EV be on your side in 2015!!!!!! :)

** 2015 **

There's a good chance I will go to WSOP this year just to play the Main Event. Let's GAMBOOOOOOOOOL!

One thing I've noticed is a lot of people doing these challenges to build up a BR. I'd like to do a challenge where you guys/gals can come up with something for me to do and I'll pick the best challenges and do it here. Realistic ones please, not $100->1million although it would be a challenge, it might take me 25yrs. :D

If someone else wants to do a challenge alongside I'm willing to do that as well where 2 players take XX$ and turn it into $20k or something and see who gets there first!

Anyway, for those of you who don't like me for whatever reason, feel free to post here too! Let go some of that tilt here! If you want to see some hands we can definitely do it but I won't gaurantee because I'm very busy with kids, coaching and the daily grind. :)

May 2015 be full of joy and nice graphs from everyone!

Looking forward to doing some challenges with all of you!

Let's hope I run hot all year! _biggrin: PokerIsAwesome!

Tilted this reg for the next hour or so with this hand. Feel free to comment on how bad the defend was. :) I know it was horrible. But one thing you must learn to become a poker pro is... You never win if you fold! _biggrin: Let the spew begin!

Here's where Villian should always fold otr with his hand but it's so tough to fold a set even though I'm not supposed to have any bluffs in this spot.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Results follow:

BU shows three of a kind, sevens(7:h 7:d).
Hero shows a straight, ace high(J:c T:c).

Hero wins with a straight, ace high(J:c T:c).

I probably jam all rivers. Lucky for me I'm good at hitting. But yeah 77 should be folded against my range unless you knew my flatting range then it is a bit of a fistpump call. :)

If you follow this blog, get ready to spew hard. :)

Anyone want to do a challenge where we move up the stakes from any BR, let me know.

Nice intro, quite the giraffe there :f_cool: Like the 22 hand, nice that the logical hand-reading path seemed to work out here. I wonder if rationale behind Villains line was trying to get a fold from AK rather than a pair.

Can it be a bad thing to encourage more people to call 3bets with Q♥:5♥:? I hope not :f_ugly:

Nice to hear it is possible to have graphs like that and still make mistakes/be human.

So I logged into one of my accounts to see if I could find an account where I haven't played but have little amounts of money.

So now we have the account... What should the challenge be?

Of course I have to play my usual games but I will play and use this account as a BR building challenge and hopefully I can show you guys how it should be done and the adjustments that people make. So I will take this 168.52€ and turn it into 10k€. Take that 10k€ and gambooool it on WSOP ME. If it's a failure, then I guess we still gamboooooooool it up! :D

I will try to update and I will set a goal until June to get this done as I will be playing my other usual games as well. Make this site just for fun. I'll probably use 17bi's for 10€NL and then move up at 30BI's for 20€NL and then 35bi's for 50€NL and up.

It would be sick to see you taking the 168 and turning it into a WSOP ME buy in, even sicker if you go on to win the ME! :f_biggrin:

I can't wait to see how you adjust to the lower limits, please make sure not to forget to post the awesome hands of regs tilting left and right _ugly:, I'll be following this blog closely.

Good luck!

Bogdan

First session in the books. I know the biggest adjustment I should make is not bluffing people at these stakes. But they are sooooooooooo bad. :D So probably have to tone down my vpip/pfr/3b a bit. Rake is rather high at these stakes so if I come out 6bb winrate + RB then it should be a smooth ride.

The hardest part will be getting the roll to ~700€ but once there it should be smooth sailing.

I don't know about playing 100vpip at 50nl but anything lower might be a cool challenge. :D 20k hands might be too much limping it might screw with my game.

No interesting hands yet but I'm sure there will be plenty to come at 10NL and 20NL.

Wow, menthor having a new blog, sick! And also doing a funky challenge? Even sicker :f_biggrin:

This challenges seem all too easy for you though...maybe you should try something like... "Running above EV over the next 100k hands." Now that would be a challenge

Anyway, can't wait to see some crushaments, GL GL!
