Hello everyone who will read this. :welcome:
My name is Kristaps and i am a EX. full time poker player, my main stakes was from 6-max BSS NL25-NL200. In my life I have played over +- 2 million hands online. Grind was from 6-24 tables.:truestory:

I won't say that I'm new to online poker, there was a time when grind were my lifestyle (if you know what I mean:s_cool:) back in the 2010-2015.
So I will not go deep into my personality.
What can I say regarding my poker background.

I was Supernova at Pokerstars.fr and crashed Nl100 with ~3-4bb on some 500k hands (of course there is no graphics and then it didn't happen )

At the moment I am working full time job in my company.
I am currently a CEO&Founder of Virtual Reality startup company.
And as you already know, the world has unfortunately been hit by a pandemic of COVID-19.
Of course, my project continues and my team is continuing to work on the project and soon our product will be listed on STEAM / OCULUS HOME / HTCVIVE.

My daily routine was usually Virtual Reality/Startups/IT conferences, meetings, networkings not only localy but in other countrys.
So it's all postponed and stopped for a while, I really hope that all this will end as soon as it can end._thumbsup:

So I have a lot more free time because of self-isolation and I decided to deposit 6$ @Pokerstars.com and download HM3 trial on 14day (Because you see my HM2 license is not valid anymore and it isn’t working, very interesting policy in company, I was always been loyal only to HoldemManager since the first day when had start grind with HM1)._mad:

How did i went with 6$ deposit well see yourself.

I started only with Nl2 and my BankRoll was 3 BuyIn. Now I already have BR for Nl5 with 10Bi, my BR managment will be pretty aggresive: 10Bi till some NL16 possible (if I will get that far ).

Since I haven't played for over +- 5 years (online) I has no idea what's going on at the tables.

There is no idea what will happen from all this !
I created this blog because maybe someone admin will read this and will take pity on me and help me to link my PokerStars account to the Pokerstrategy account so that I can get points and get upgrade my level at pokerstrategy.
I don't need any bonuses and I'm not interested in free $.

But maybe someone will enjoy just my story._wink:

Thanks for listening, and I wish everyone good health in this crazy times and stay at home my friends together we will deal with this shit;).
Greetings from Latvia.:gl:

P.S I found in my twitter account an old picture of some graph in the bottom of last year when I was grinding, probabaly from about 2013-2015.

hi, the title was interesting, so I opened :) nice. Why did you left poker when you were doing so good? DId not see future because of too many regs, inflation in latvia, so the money from poker cannot buy that much anymore?

I am from lithuania, and I really noticed how salaries started rising and too keep up with poker became very hard comparing to other jobs. We were making calculations that from poker in lithuania could live playing NL10 but now I am not even considering this. And I never beat NL25. At those times beating NL25 maybe I wuld have turned to pro but then one day I guess I would stop beating and still would need to transition to programing.

Hello my neighbor:f_biggrin:
There was many reasons why i quit.
First was that Pokerstars.fr banned Latvians, and it hit me hard.
Second i always wanted to get in the business world and in 2015 i invested all my bankroll and open e-commerce (e-shop).
The fild began to become much more difficult (more regs). And i will be honest, I was tired of that lifestyle. Grind-> party hard and back to grind and that goes like 4-5years _biggrin:
Well if you play for living it always depends were you live and what economic situation is in that country were you live. I knowed guy who beated nl50-nl100 very solid and lived in London, but eventualy he quit because he just could not afford pay rent for his apartment _cry:
Well ye in my times there was many guys from Baltic state who lived out grinding micro _biggrin:
I tryed my luck in poker business and had own stable with 4-5 horses, but I realized that it didn’t pay off for sure.I was putting to much effort for guys who just did not want to study poker seriously:s_rolleyes:

why do you needed party hard ?

Well if you play for living it always depends were you live and what economic situation is in that country were you live. I knowed guy who beated nl50-nl100 very solid and lived in London, but eventualy he quit because he just could not afford pay rent for his apartment _cry:

Paying rent really sucks. Luckily I am not paying rent for home for like 5 years, it saves so much money which can be directed you my own flat. I do not understand how other people calculate and say paying rent is more +EV than having own flat, assuming you dont change living places often.

Only sucks now that in belarus they have built nuclear power plant near our capital, like 50 km away or smth :( and I dont trust them, I dont want there another chernobyl. So having flat so close to nuclear bomb managed potentially not carefully does not feel too well.

I am even thinking about buying next flat in Kaunas, so that it would be more far away from that bomb and even if it explodes, maybe it will retain some value. Like Kiev is about 100km from chernobyl and is livable, so Kaunas I think would be bit more than 100 km.

Also Lithuiania closed its nuclear power plant to increase safety. So now our close looks useless and even worse. If we had not closed - maybe it would not have been worth for belarus to build their power plant. But we could not even choose, EU was telling us to close. But EU cannot do anything to force belarus to close, at least I dont see.

good luck!

no worries, you will get back in no time

the core NEVER changes, just the details do

And people are doing stupid shit these days haha

anyway, hopefully I will NOT see you around at the tables lol.

Did you consider giving spins a shot?

Btw, can you speak Russian as well? (I am really curious how many youngsters can speak this language now)

I am from Eastern Europe myself haha.

Btw, there are many similar words in Baltic and Slavic languages. Anyway, not gonna ruin your blog here, haha.

About living space, ye i agree with you.I think it is always -EV something to rent in long run:f_thumbsup:You are just burning money.
I living at the momement in own flat, but soon i hope i will be able move to own house :f_cool:
If i will be honest , i don't worry a lot about chernobyl scenario now days, because a lot has changed from that times. But i definitely wouldn't want to live that close either to nuclear power plant :f_biggrin::f_biggrin:
Haha i have been many times in Kaunas, very nice city i have old acquaintance there living.:f_drink:
Belarus is different world, look how they dealing with COVID men xD Obviously EU cannot do anything there.

All I know is that Baltic and Slavic languages have some lexical similarities... about 1k of them

Update

Of course, nothing surprising with 8bi BR playing 4-6 tables :f_ugly:

But I came up with an idea that micro grinders will like.
I have 15$ on GG network . So maybi i might try to spend one to two hours playing there. Because I play at the moment @ Ipoker network 6-8h a day.
And we could see how far it would go, of course we will start with NL2 (7bi). We will move up in next limit when there will be safe BR like 20bi for next limit.
Will play Rush & Cash 4 tables.

BR:15$

Thanks!
But of course, it's just mentally difficult for me to play this limits because my stakes are mostly nl50-100 on a daily basis.

Remember children, if you want to achieve something in poker, the most important thing is BRM (Bankroll Management). My recommendation is at least 25bi in the relevant limit.
