Initial Investment: Around $50 (As of Start of May, the NL2 grind and not my decade long loses)
Starting Bankroll: $187.82
Short Term Goal: $500 - End of July 2022 with a 60-70k sample size of NL5 - with a 10 WR (Achieved Early September 2022)
Long Term Goal: $2000 - September 2022 (Extended to November 2022)
Upon starting this journey, I had initially deposited $20 at the start of May 2022 and played NL10 as I've always done in the past, I quickly lost this as I've got poor bankroll management; as its been my problem for nearly a decade. I would always grind up a decent amount above my initial investment then join some high roller event that I would surely lose but I was just thinking of Vegas fast at the time. Thats when I discovered the blogs of struggling poker players from the past, such as Doug Polk or read the story of Spraggy starting at NL2 at university and by the the time of finishing, not needing to pursue a career because of poker.
my first $20 investment which was disastrous on NL10

With bags of determination I figured it was time to swallow the pill, and start the soul destroying grind of NL2. I reloaded $20 and started the grind.
I have done well over 25k hands currently, since the start of my grind although I've been using Holdem Manager 3 free trial and I switched accounts when I went from using my laptop to the my PC therefore I lost all data from the first $85 that I earned. I have no bought HM3 as it's worth its weight in gold.
Here is the first sample, which is just over 27k hands

My current aim for this week is to accumulate anywhere between $200 - $250 to move to NL5
Overall, I have had some success in poker, whether that be live tournaments, cash games or online but ultimately I would always end up broke. My sharkscope results are absolutely embarrassing from a decade of playing with almost £1000 of loses over the duration. Ultimately, there is always time for redemption, right?
Thank you for reading my blog and I will update this at the start of each given month at the minimum. Maybe even weeky/biweekly interesting posts.
