Hi guys I am Anderson, I play mainly online NLHE cash games.
I started learning the game about 2,5 years ago. My effort lasted for a little less than one year, when I moved up NL2 to NL10 just to get abysmally beaten down at this stake (I don't think I was actually prepared), stopped for one year and restarted the process 4 months ago. Then I deposited $10 and went with the massive bankroll for NL5, where things went pretty well and I ran 7BB/100 in 30k hands.
So in another attempt for bankrupcy I decided to play NL10 with 15 buyins, which went smoothly till 30 buyins. Then I experienced a 20bi downswing.
That certainly made me humble up. I studied a little more and actually made the most EV+ decision which was to stop trying to outplay one specific player that is light years ahead both in talent and luck and things got decent again. I could feel once again the pleasure and flow of the game.
After that, I grinded my way to ~46bi (this is like, 1 week ago) and was about to start taking shots at 20NL. But there were not many tables available and the ones that were seemed infused with the same regs. Up to this point I had only played regular tables (4-tabling). Instead of going to another site, I decided to risk myself at the frenzy of zoom tables because they seem to have a bigger field and they go directly from 10NL to 25NL.
So right now I'm learning it's rhythm. The problem is that I was planning to play some 10k hands to get used to it and move up, but now Lady Luck is frowning on me again. Currently in a 12 bi downswing that made me postpone the shottaking, even though I got used to zoom and have ~15 bi for 25NL. Just don't feel comfortable undertaking it with this mindset.
My main reason for opening this blog is to be able to share some hands, experiences, thoughts and feelings and keep myself accountable. I'd also appreciate some help navigating this path. Maybe I'll join the BR challenge.
Can't post the graph link... is there another way to post it?
