Well the downswing is over. My fave thing about MTTs is you can end a downswing in a single session. Had an insanely good week at the tables and it was almost better but I bubbled two big FTs. Most of the profit came in PKOs, which makes sense because our next book on Mystery Bounties is officially finished, so bounty strategy is in my head.
In other news, my dog has been doing search and rescue training and he is pretty good at it

Didnt play much as I have been busy with other stuff, however any losses I did incur were due to me playing terribly. Again, maybe a bit distracted. We released our latest book this week and also my wife has been quite ill with presumed COVID (tested negative but we think its still COVID). Anyhoo I think she is on the mend now, but I tend to become the errand boy in these situations.

Good week at the tables, from a pure MTT perspective it was even better than above as I won an MTT but the prize was 3 x €300 HexaPro tickets and I bricked all three of those.

No idea how many bounties I won, but I won all the big ones from what I can tell. I started the FT with a 300 euro bounty on my head which was the same as the top prize

when it comes right down to it, variance is why we continue to play.
Random rewards are extremely powerful.
Constant rewards would make the game boring.
No rewards at all would soon make us lose interest.

Yep ran like god this week in MTTs, would have been an even bigger profit but the bloody Unibet Missions. For the sake of probably €55 in bonuses I ended up dusting off about €200 at cash and hexapro tables trying to get them. I just have this thing I see the Mission and I have to complete it.
So from now on I pledge I will only do the first Missions of the month (to get into the 3k freeroll).

Delighted I was only down 50 bucks this week as I had a terrible start to the week, I actually thought it was going to be much bigger a loss. I have also been playing slightly higher stakes so its a relief.
It took five years of working with him but I have started running after a 20 year hiatus, getting a few pointers from Dara (ultra marathon runner before poker). I'm doing it out of spite really because my wife has started running and she seems quite good at it. I don't want to be the slow one in the relationship, so looking forward to a running injury in the next few weeks.

I picked up running again last monday. Bought new running shoes to motivate me 
It was also the first time i went on a run with our dog Muniz on a leash. We did 3km.

Didn't play much and bricked most of the stuff I did play, though I am quite pleased with how I did play.
Quite pleased last night as I was at a FT and 9 of 10 players with 11BBs, then got disconnected and could not get back in. Amazingly I managed to come 6th. I presume there must have been a three way all-in plus I got lucky a bunch of times when I was down to my last blind. I bet I did better than if I had still been connected.

Really good week at the tables. I've been winning in €11 MTTs and below for the whole Bankroll Challenge, but every time I move up to €25s or above I have a big downswing. So far, this is the first decent run I have had in €25 MTTs.
I consulted with Dara what I should prioritise as my next step - more tables, bigger fields or shots at bigger games. He said more tables and shots at bigger games, not bigger fields. I think I'll start with more tables, I play 4, no more than 5, right now, I think I will try and get that to 6 at my current stakes.
