Yeah wild wild stuff in poker tables. Unfortunately not one of my lucky days. Some of bigger pots:

Spoiler

BU open, SB call, I squeeze (super standard) and both call. I were bit unsure of flop but decided to pot. So versus BU it was SPR 2 and vs SB around 3. I mean any better it would be totally fine and any worse e.g. without two bdfd I would have likely checked or bet-folded half pot versus SB. Well this time it was flip versus wrap.

Spoiler

This opponent was one of those damn "click buttons randomly" and print money. So 50bb deep MP open, CO call, BU 3bet, I cold 4bet from BB and everyone call... SPR 0.4 on flop I obviously shove. I mean single suited A976 and this guy calls 50bb more to see flop. When people do stuff like these those swings go through the roof.

Spoiler

Another opponent with more than few loose screws here. Went for 3bet pre and x-r flop. I kinda like my play overall versus this type of player who was very stab happy versus check. Now it is bit awkward because of SPR still being 6-7 but imo ok. This was flip though as villain had top pair draw with A and Q. I dont actually mind to bet his hand but it really should be bet-fold even though versus my specific hand he was doing well.

Spoiler

Called CO open on BU and BB called behind. Flop I decided to raise CO cbet and potted turn. Not sure if this was overplay. Thing is I would not have raised flop without two bdfd. Turn maybe best to check without picking fd. I would have checked for sure on J♠:.

Spoiler

Defended BB versus CO open and SB call. Flop I decided to x-r having bdfd and over cards to 6. Plus unblocking straight draws. Potted turn as CO just called flop. Being dead on turn not ideal.

Spoiler

Open CO, BU 3bet, SB cold call, I 4bet and both call. Get it on flop to find these clowns both having stuff around this low flop.

Spoiler

Another very bet happy fellow. Not sure if this was reasonable bluff catch line or not. Anyway I open MP, BU call and BB call. Flop BU bets half and I x-c. Turn he bets pot and I call. RIver around 3/4 and I call. Idea being I block some value with J and do unblock QT9.

Spoiler

Open MP, CO 3bet, BB cold call, I 4bet and both call. Flop is not awesome but still cant fold with tiny bit behind. BB having super crappy KK and CO 3betting too wide. I mean we dont have to 4bet pre but I think its reasonable. Didnt have reads on CO as he recently came to table. BB was type to play way too much hands.

Well there was some won pots also:

Spoiler

Open CO and call 3bet. Flop villain cbet small, I raised and we got it allin. Roughly 60/40 flip for me.

Spoiler

Got lucky in this. So MP limp, I iso on BU and SB/MP call. Flop MP lead 2/3 pot which I didnt like too much but bit too much to fold. Turn MP barreled and called my shove. Should have definitely slowed down on turn.

Spoiler

Another lucky one actually. MP open, I call BU. Call 1/3 cbet and turn 2/3 barrel. Pretty concerned on turn already and my plan was to fold to third barrel. But improving to quads I instead shoved river versus that third barrel. This is spot where I will always have quads probably once I shove river. Maybe crappy AA occasionally hoping villain has A9.

Spoiler

BU open, I 3bet. Flop went for half pot. Turn went checked and river decided to check as I felt like villain rarely has much of a hand. Flush would usually bet turn and two pair/set would likely raise flop. But well he had that unlikely A5.

Spoiler

Called preflop CO open from SB. Flop went for x-r. Turn was kinda ugly even though I got fd. I decided to x-shove with SPR bit over 1. Just to give aggro opponent some chance to stab loose. Well I still had around 40% versus nuts.

Have been sick for almost week now and not feeling exactly great currently either. There is currently some bugs on rounds here in Finland and apparently I caught one of them.

Potentially back to tables tomorrow. I have always kept kinda rule that I don't play if I feel sick. At least would not recommend playing normal limits. Anyway today there has been just some sneezes and not much else. So.... Maybe tomorrow.

Most expensive omaha day yesterday. Not achievement one want to get but yeah. Some hands:

Spoiler

BB decides to 3bet so I obviously 4bet. SPR 2 or so I pot flop and we get it in. 75% equity gets screwed.

Spoiler

Same opponent here and once again 4bet pot. I cbet flop small with plan to shove most non diamond rivers. Well it does come diamond so I check and decided to bluff catch river shove. Maybe bad idea but having A♦: and 2 is probably somewhat reasonable.

Spoiler

3bet pot versus very aggro player. Not sure about this though. I cbet small and call raise. Turn and river went for x-c. Idea being I block straight and unblock 987.

Spoiler

Decided to 3bet here which is probably ok in HU versus active villain. Flop come pretty good and I cbet 2/3 pot. Turn SPR 2 went for check, faced pot bet and decided to shove. Idea being my Q might be best. Had 40% equity. Villain just casually calling flop with bottom pair and getting turn like that...

Spoiler

Another player playing way way too wide and not folding to 3bets at all. Went for 3bet pre, flop x-c and turn SPR 1.5 went for x-shove getting gs as well. Obviously has to be versus set.

Spoiler

Yeah this guy was real crytonite in this session... Once again 4bet pot. I dont like flop but SPR less than 1... Was another flip on flop.

Spoiler

Lot of these sort of spots as well. So I open CO, BU call, maniac SB 3bet, I 4bet. Flop is absolute disaster and imo I have to fold SPR 1 with absolutely dry AA.

Then loooot of spots where I have strong combo draw that has to call turn but just cant get there. Or some other nasty runouts.

Spoiler

Good example what kind of stuff this guy was doing here. So I cbet in single raised pot and call versus x-r. Then shove it versus turn barrel. His hand should be no brainer x-c on flop. No other option make any sense really.

Well occationally these crazy 3bets didnt get rewarded like in this one. I open EP, MP call and BB goes for 3bet with QJT6ss... We get it in on flop.

Bit of sunshine today with close to 6bin up. Though I only played PLO50. Anyway this was biggest pot:

Thought I probably cant fold to short stack squeeze to decided to iso. Well third guy was reluctant to fold. Flop came pretty nice with set though.

Power of combo draws. Even versus that hand it was around 50/50. CO minraised, BU call, I call, BB squeeze and we go 4way to flop. Goes checked to BU who potted and I went for x-r SPR bit below 3.

This one maybe on thin side to shove river but I think vast majority of time opponent would have told if he had better hand at some point. So felt like close to freeroll to still go for value for last 1/3 pot on river.

Another case of thin value imo. This opponent was only playing on this one table. At least on my tables so seemed recreational. So decided to shove river but I feel like call in general is best as default. Point is JJ is very possible but weaker boats like 55, T5 or T7 quite rare. Though I also do think that recreational are usually not folding their value hands versus minraise shove.

Last hand, I think call is best. Seems nitty, but he did donk big on the flop. On the river you could get calls from T+ in best case scenario. Naked T doesn't make sense on the flop, T5 maybe a little bit. Often recreationals (unless they are aggro) tend to be more cautious with bottom2 or bottom set, not donking them.

Heh got bonus for deposit 50€ and get 25€ worth of frees spins for slot. Played them got 10.05€ that required 100% recycle. Played 10.2€ worth and got around 10.7€ so whopping half euro profit! This must have made me now hardcore slot addict!

Anyway last few sessions have been pretty much same old nasty run. Some interesting spots from today:

Spoiler

Was close to folding river as this player had not been 3betting much at all. But in the end just thought its too good of a bluff catcher to really fold. Blocking AA and straight while unblocking hearts. I like villain line though. Well he can cbet flop but its not exactly awesome if he gets raised though. Danger of running into some dominating draws is kinda high but at same point its bit nasty to bet-fold either.

This could have been a big one but 3bettor didnt have anything to continue. One of best type flops I can hit with this hand. Preflop I were bit worried calling that squeeze because SB had around 50bb stack. So if he shoves and BB iso shoves I need to fold which reaaaallly suck after investing 17.5bb. But to continue it would mean 190bb more so... But luckily he just called. Flop I were more than happy to get it in by either raising cbet or bet-calling flop. Luckily won versus SB as losing this to dry 66 would have been ugly.

Early session brain clitch in this one. I 3bet pre versus BU open. On flop I somehow read my hand as bottom pair + NFD. So went for x-c. Turn same story I am like oh well lets crying call. On river I actually notice I have boat and be like... Oh I have Q! Brain is weird instrument... Kinda funnily maybe I got max from this hand with this line. Villain not firing river though.

This made me scratch my head today as this opponent is usually playing solid. So I defend BB versus SB open. Bet flop half pot, check turn and call river pot bet. Not necessarily wondering his play otherwise but how the heck that flop call would be even borderline reasonable... Maaaaybe if he had bdnfd but even then would be scetchy. I guess my betting was not getting much respect.

Some nasty ones at start of session in classical fashion. So it was not quite as smooth sailing as above might indicate.

This one CO open, active BU 3bet, I cold 4bet, CO 5bet, BU 6bet and we get it in 3way. I finally thought I would be versus two AA but... Had 40% or so preflop. I was only 125bb deep so not in for whole 500bb pot. But I guess BU was hoping to be versus two AA as well. He had least equity. Ironically I would have won versus AA.

Same fellow in very early session. Player on my left had shown to be absolute maniac with shallower stack plus he had just lost sizable pot in previous hand. So I could have put 100€ side bet on him 3betting in this hand. Might be actually +EV bet though he did show up with quite "reasonable" hand. Anyway MP limp, CO limo, I iso, SB 3bet, MP call, CO call, I 4bet, SB call, MP fold and CO call. Flop CO shove for 24bb I have behind so I call. Over 60% equity on flop but river comes.

This one I potentially screwed up. 3bet pre versus BU open. Went for x-r on flop but it went checked. Turn went for x-r and this time got action. I still had around 45% equity versus his two pair if I remember right. So I think its ok but perhaps flop pot would be best overall.

Hmm has there been some ddos attack or something or why there seems to be these "are you human checks" in use? Assuming others are getting them while loading page here.

So first thing first my hand should look like pretty bad call. Reason being it really is one of worst calling hands possible. We should not really beat any value and we dont block value range. So why did I call anyway?

Well this is one of those spots where story doesnt add up. First opponent leads flop big which tends to be fairly polarizing play. Yet when turn is blank and actually great if you have high flush (I have more reason to call with more clubs on board) he goes for check. Then when I show weakness he fires river again big. Now there are hands like straight or small/medium flushes that can go for two street value on this board. But would those start by leading flop big? Probably not. Which means had opponent went for e.g. check flop, bet turn and river half pot I would have folded river. Yet now he invested two bigger bets and I ended up calling.

X, B, B line would have also made lot more sense for opponent hand as he has nothing equity wise on flop so x-f is not issue. Also he would probably play 8 high flush with this sort of line. But yeah in general I would prefer to call even with hand like AQ96 with one club more preferably as then I would block value range way more. This time it would have been disaster though as opponent bluffed with two pair.

Just watched YT short from Galfond where he checks QJ98 type on TT9T9 board as he can beat non boats according to him.

So yeah even bit more experienced players gets these thing wrong occasionally :)

Recent sessions have followed this bit annoying tendency where I will have around breakeven sessions (losing/winning 2 bins or less) but they almost always come with big pots that I lose versus preflop overplayed hands. I mean its very common possibility of course because pool just tends to overplay stuff. But this often leads into spots where my hand potentially play itself and there is really nothing I could have done better.

Couple examples:

MP open, BU 3bets, I cold 4bet and BU calls. Flop is ok even though I dont block stuff for SPR 1.5. Opponent had actually been on passive side but seems to overvalue this kind of hand.

Well this was BvB single raised pot. But yeah quite optimistic defend resulting in massive setup. I went for bet-3bet on flop. One point being I unblocked nfd which I do well against. If I blocked it I might have just called. But yeah 52 should be extremely unlikely combo.

Another case of BU 3betting vs MP. I obviously 4bet and even hit top two to see I am in very bad shape. Again ss combo going kinda wild in this. These hands have clear call especially being on BU. Had this been 3bet pot I would have gone for x-c on flop. Potentially still would have stacked off but anyway.

But yeah of course these overplays will sometimes work for my side as well but recently it has not been hot run in these ones.
