Last updates sound like solid run up! I hope it holds!
I hope so VorpalF2F because I don't have a lot of poker books.
Ty Ihuarraquax, I know a good run is important in this game.
Hello there,
That sound a nice run. Please keep us updated regarding your stream plans. I would love to follow you as I am planning in the future to make my own stream and would need expert advices
NL5 rush and cash (GG poker), it's just a few hands. Pokercraft actually says I have a worst run (in luck section) but I don' know.
Preflop is fine. 4bet-stack off would most likely be overplay and you don't want to 4bet-fold either.
In flop check your whole range. Donk betting not really good idea versus MP uncapped range. Also I would likely not have x-r range versus MP either for same reason. Raising hand like this has some merit in equity denial versus overcards but problem is you quite easily isolate yourself versus better mostly.
As played UTG shove looks pretty absurd. He didn't 4bet pre so I would be surprised to see KK+. QQ maybe? I would call if MP folded but when he calls also you just have to fold imo.

Can you....can you dumbe that down to a rule of thumb for me? Like if villain could have the nuts, don't donk?
Hi guys,
Thx for hand discussion, I'm not sure on that one, maybe because UTG snap shoved and MP tank called aswel.
But basicly I'm trying to not getting affected by timing tells because they can be faked.
I think it's called lead bet (not donk) and it's correct strategy according to the article here on pokerstrategy.
It's off balance, but it is unlikely that opponents on NL5 rush and cash will be exploiting this value/ bluff imbalance.

Well preflop is actually spot that split people in their strategy. Some prefer to only 4bet or fold. Then they will have some 4bet-fold and 4bet-call hands. Not sure where JJ would fall in that approach but probably folding.
Second option is to call or fold everything you play. So you don't have any 4bet range.
Third option is to split range to call and 4bet.
Each have own good and bad sides. First make some nice hands to be 4bet-folded. Second invite open raiser to come along wide and in this case we end up sandwiched then.
Third is likely most common approach but problem is that it often make call range quite face up. Most people are not going to balance calling range with any KK or AA combos so call range is often stuff like 99-JJ, maybe QQ and AQs type.
In general it might be good idea to mainly 4bet or fold when oop and leave rare 3bet cold calling to spots we are in position to aggressor.
For terminology lead is usually used when there is bet in limped pot without preflop aggressor. Donk bet is when someone bets out of their order before it has come to preflop aggressor turn. But yeah I don't know if these are set in stone ![]()
Donk betting in this hand creates nasty situation. Well situation is always nasty because of our likely capped preflop range but let's say we donk bet. MP call, are we going to continue betting on blank turns? X-c versus bet? In general I would say that chance we get action from weaker hands is higher by checking.
Timing tells can be valuable but there are own problems with those. If villain snap act there is good chance that he has already decided his approach or he has no need to think about it. So in this spot it probably make AA or KK bit less likely. Of course villain can balance timing with nuts.

When opponent has range advantage one should rarely donk. Plus especially on nut hands part. In this hand we have less or no QQ+ so we have no nutty hands. 5x is rare for anyone but from these players involved we have absolutely none of those (hopefully) where as other two players could have it rarely.
Kind of same when you call open raise from BB and flop comes Axx. Theory wise you don't donk because you have no AA or biggest Ax in your range. But if UTG open, BB call and flop is 567 then BB can lead quite a lot as UTG won't have many straights, two pair or even all sets. UTG has more overpairs and high cards but those can be classified as weak to mediocre hands on many low/mid boards.
Sorry, I forgot to type that I cold called preflop because UTG was looking very fishy. Vs regs I prefer fold.
I don't like checking flop multiway w 3 overcards possible and a fish in pot who can pay me easily.
Hi guys,
I'm on upswing, I will start stream if at 125$ so there would be a proper bankroll management aswel.
