Hard to comment those hands without knowing much about villain.

1st hand
If villain floats a lot and then stabs a lot when checked to, I think youre line is ok, but if his not so aggresive I preffer betting myself since the board is very draw heavy and he almost has some equity and you could easily give him free river this way.

2nd hand
I think his cbet size on this board is very suspicous and I would expect him to bet bigger for value and I like raising the flop and just taking it down a lot.
As played I'd also stab turn, but give up on river since its such a blank.

3rd hand
I think is more or less standart, I'd bet a but bigger on river.

Better luck next time at NL25 shoot, tableselect well and dont level yourself to much and you'll do ok.

Hi jachis, thanks for stopping by for the input :)
Totally agree with your thoughts on the hands. I do seem to level myself a bit or try to overplay hands when taking shots. I think its just a mindset thing, that i always assume the regs are just trying to run me over.

Not to worry, it was all a learning experience :)

Nearly at the halfway point of the month, so ill be posting my graph in the next few days.
I'm expecting to be down slightly i think, because of my failed NL25 shot.
But i don't feel to bad overall about the month so far.

Volume will be lacking though in the second half of the month as I'm going on a short holiday with my gf in Queensland for four nights.

Also have some live MTTs coming up as part of the Newcastle poker championships.
Fields will be sooo soft so i hope i can luckbox one of them :f_biggrin:

Some hands from today:

$0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (BTN): $10.93 (109.3 bb)
SB: $19.42 (194.2 bb)
BB: $11.56 (115.6 bb)
UTG: $3.83 (38.3 bb)
MP: $33.69 (336.9 bb)
CO: $30.07 (300.7 bb)

Probably should have CB a bit bigger, but w/e, good result

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K♥ K♦
UTG calls $0.10, MP folds, CO raises to $0.45, Hero raises to $1.50, SB calls $1.45, 3 folds

Flop: ($3.65) 2♣ 6♥ 2♠ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.15, SB calls $2.15

Turn: ($7.95) 8♣ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7.28 and is all-in, SB calls $7.28

River: ($22.51) 9♣ (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Spoiler

Results: $22.51 pot ($1.01 rake)
Final Board: 2♣ 6♥ 2♠ 8♣ 9♣
Hero showed K♥ K♦ and won $21.50 ($10.57 net)
SB showed Q♥ Q♠ and lost (-$10.93 net)

$0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

BTN: $10 (100 bb)
Hero (SB): $10.20 (102 bb)
BB: $9.85 (98.5 bb)
UTG: $17.26 (172.6 bb)
MP: $10 (100 bb)
CO: $15.62 (156.2 bb)

Cant decide if donking>c/raising here, but i think c/raising might be better to let him cbet his air.
On the other hand im protectin against weak FDs that might check back flop.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4♥ 4♣
2 folds, CO raises to $0.30, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.25, BB folds

Flop: ($0.70) 5♥ 4♦ 9♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $0.45, CO raises to $1.39, Hero raises to $4.15, CO raises to $13.12, Hero calls $5.75 and is all-in

Turn: ($20.50) A♦ (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($20.50) K♦ (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Spoiler

Results: $20.50 pot ($0.92 rake)
Final Board: 5♥ 4♦ 9♦ A♦ K♦
Hero showed 4♥ 4♣ and lost (-$10.20 net)
CO showed J♥ J♦ and won $19.58 ($9.38 net)

Here's my month graph so far, pretty gross ATM.
Looks like it will be another month where i chase losses until the last week, then finally breakeven in the last couple of days :f_mad:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

& in BB (because of NL25 shot)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Busy packing to go away right now, but might get a chance to post some hands before i go.

If not, GL everyone!

EDIT: if anyone knows how to change my graph back to a normal graph instead of this stupid printer friendly one, please tell me!

I have the same opinion about this printer friendly graph. And would also like to know an easier way to export the usual graph. Until then I just open the usual graph, hit Print Screen on my keyboard, open Paint, hit Ctrl+V, crop the image and then save it as jpg. It's really easy once you do it a couple of times, but would be grerat if there was a way to export it straight away.

NL400 live session is in the books!
Only finished up ~$40, but it was the softest table i think i have ever played at!

No decent regs, the whole table was 40+ recreational players.
Unfortunalty i was pretty card dead & only picked up some small pots.

The two biggest pots i viewed was AI OTF, QQ against 74o on 942r. 7 turn obv. $800 pot
Other was AKo vs K5o on K87, turn 9 river 6. $750 pot.
& Both pots were lost to the same poor guy!

So overall it was a fun experience & i wish i had the roll to play these guys every day!

Also my gf won $200 on rulette, so the night was a win!

Oh yeh, i couldnt really be bothered updating haha.

Ill quickly update now while im waiting at the airport.

I played a 2nd session of NL400, bought in for the max of $300 again.
Only played for about 90 mins so my gf wouldn't get too bored. (or spend too much on video roulette)

Table was super soft again, but i seemed to be fairly card dead. Maybe it just seems this way though because live FR is so slow.

No really big pots, just getting folds from cbets mostl.
On one occasion i remember shoving ~$160 into a pot of ~$210 on a board of Q42-9-2 with 3 clubs, holding Q9o vs the worlds biggest station. i was so sure he had Qx, but he ended up tank folding.

I have decided i'm officially addicted to live NL400! But cant see myself playing again any time soon.

Now boarding my plane home from QLD. Back to reality :(

you got a little taste of the big leagues ! grats :) now you know there is absolutely fish at the mid stakes as well, if not moreso then the micros, because the midstakes are filled with people (and this is pure speculation tell me if im wrong) who just got paid, from their nice little 9-5, and just need a night out, or are simply a fan of poker, dont want to do any of the work to improve their game other then strictly play live and maybe read a book or 2 about poker tells, but have lots of expendable cash at their disposal. alcohol may them, but only for a couple hands until everyone realizes they're piss drunk and just start playing their cards ABC style to counter drunk person clicking buttons, or in this case throwing chips.

Can't wait until I enter in my first ever casino sng here in charlottetown at the red shores casino. $25+$0 BI (yeah no entry fee how cool is that?) 40 player max DEEP STACK lol..who's got the edge there i wonder?? They put it on every friday at 6pm. Im usually busy or broke or both lol. Next week should be fun though :)

Yeh i found it really strange, out of both of the nights i played there, i saw only one aggressive reg. (there was only one NL400 table running).
I ended up taking his seat though so it was just me & a bunch of drunk old guys

Best of luck at your local SNG, i look foreward to hearing how it goes! :)

Just played my first session after getting back from holidays, finished up a few BI's & felt like i played fairly well.
Although as usual there were a few spewy hands :f_mad:

I'm thinking about switching back to regular tables for a while, just to see if it helps me improve my game or tilt less. But ill see what happens, i have a few days left to clear some more of my bonus, so i won't be switching any time soon.

Not sure about my river call on this one.
UTG is unknown, & when he calls mys 3bet, I gave him a fairly tight range.
JJ,TT,AK mostly.

JJ,TT make sense after he calls the flop cbet. On the turn i ruled out sets as 99,66 or 33(unlikely) would most likely raise flop or turn.

So when he donked river, i just thought to myself 'surely not 98' & called.
So that might be one of my spewy hands, but his line just didn't make sense to me.

Hey guys, haven't updated for a few days.
Been spending most of my poker time either playing or reviewing, so I haven't had much time for my blog.

My 30 day bonus is up, I only cleared $40 :( but better than nothing i guess.

yes! keep the run good coming danny! maybe i can sweat with you sometime to see how this zoom thing works?? i just cant get a handle on it and kind of got lost in the shuffle as the regs play 3k hands per day and all i could play was like 20 mins before losing 3 stacks or more and turbo tilting. at the beginning was fine, but now its just sooooo fucked up...the regular tables seem sooooo much fishier and my monsters and marginal hands are getting paid a lot more i find.

haha ohk, that sucks. I was just wondering what time it must be over there.
I thought it was a bit strange hearing from you at 4:10pm here.

I think its going to be difficult to find a good time for both of us :(
Maybe I should quit my job
