[Closed] $40 live mtt freezout - slowplayed KK preflop

early mtt - Blinds 20/40, starting stacks 2500
My stack ~2400
MP ~3600 - no reads, but seems a bit loose preflop
SB ~2200 - seems solid but again no distinct reads

9 players at the table and I am CO with K:s K:c

Action: everyone folds to MP who raises to 80, I call, SB raises to 240, MP calls, I call.

[flop]
78J rainbow
SB bets 500, MP moves all-in, Hero folds..

I know I had to chances to raise pf but I thought it would be good time for slowplay :P
Action on flop seems to indicate that I should be behind.

Any comments?

Hi armo,

I really don't like slowplaying KK 3-way because of these exact situations. The coldcall pre is OK sometimes, but after SB raises, you have to 4bet to isolate.

On the flop the fold sounds fine although I'm REALLY confused about the positions. How did MP act first? ;).

MP floped straight with T9s and SB had set with JJ so the flop was even worse than I expected

Ahh, my bad, SB bet and MP reraised

OK. Well we are given quite a straightforward decision in this case, but if SB had bet and MP had slowplayed with a call, we would be very hard pressed to make the right decision. Which again means we should really be 4betting this preflop.
