Hey guys,

poker fans come from all across the world and therefore like to have their poker content available in many different languages.

Naturally, this means that translators are needed to change texts from English to their native language.

Tell me more...

Working amongst an elite team of translators, you'll be transforming crucial texts from language to language and making them sparkle.

Poker is a fast-paced and exciting game and when content is needed across our languages, our freelance translators come to the rescue with great texts and localizations that are done quickly and flawlessly.

You ...
... are passionate about language, texts and translations
... have good understanding of poker and poker terminology
... know that a literal translation is not always the best way to get a message across
... have exceptional accuracy and eye for detail
... are highly proficient in English and a native speaker of one of the following: traditional Chinese, Danish, Greek, Estonian, Norwegian, Slovak, Serbian, Thai or Turkish

The challenge:
As a freelance translator, your task is to take texts created by the content team and render them in a different language.

Interested?
If you think you have what it takes, apply today. For a complete application we need your CV and motivation letter (both in English) to be submitted to application@pokerstrategy.com.

Hey,

please send your CV that includes any relevant positions from the past (ideally related to your translation skills). Cover letter should state why you think you could do the job and why we should pick you.

Good luck!

I suppose English-Portuguese translators are not needed then?

I have a Cambridge certificate and I'm going to apply for the CPE this year (the top certificate from Cambridge), I even translated and subtitled a few videos for some people from the portuguese community, including a couple videos from PStrategy.

Good news !

Poker in Greece has a rapid growth and it's time for us to get access to the Greek version of the best poker community.

First, i want to ask if someone with a good understanding of english without previous experience in translation, can apply.

Besides that, I would like to ask whether the Greek version will simply be a translation of the English articles, or we will have our own "place", like our Greek forum, instructional videos and articles from Greek pros, etc.

Hey,

PriscoInline, I'm not aware of any open positions in the Portugese department but you can always drop them an e-mail and your CV (portugese@pokerstrategy.com).

Bigor19, we are not planning to open new communities at the moment. This is a separate project. Regarding the experience, having a professional background is not essential. If you have a strong knowledge of any of the above languages and you have language skills (eye for detail, perfect grasp of grammar etc.), please get in touch with us.
