SB: $26.33 (105.3 bb)
BB: $25.10 (100.4 bb)
UTG: $21.70 (86.8 bb)
Hero (MP): $32.34 (129.4 bb)
CO: $24.65 (98.6 bb)
BTN: $28.48 (113.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with T♣: T♥:
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.50, CO folds, BTN raises to $1.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3.35) A♠: 8♣: 2♣: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($3.35) T♠: (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BTN calls $2

River: ($7.35) J♥: (2 players)
Hero bets $3.90, BTN raises to $13, Hero??

Preflop: Standard open. Decided to call BTN's 3bet. He plays 21/14 in 100 hands and 3bets 12,2 (30 vs Hero).

Flop: Was planning to check/call and give up further streets, but he checked back.

Turn: Betting for value. He usually won't have Ax, but it's possible he has it, so I'm targetting Ax, KK-JJ and probably some draws, but he won't have many of them except gutshots imo.

River: Not the best card, but I decided to bet for value again and then he raises. I don't think he will turn his draws into bluffs (if he had them) and I don't think he is raising something like KK. I believe I will mostly be against KQ or JJ.

Well, there are better hands possible, but he can have weaker too... Call and make a note.

Call. vs unknown
- you have 45% equity vs. AJo, KQo, KJs.
- if you add KQs and JJ you still have 34%, just the right odds as well

Do you think he will have KJs?

We need 27% equity to justify the call. If Villain is playing like this only with value hands like AA, AJs, ATs, KQs, JJ then we only get 23% and if Villain has KQo in his range its getting even worse. Buf if Villain sometimes is bluffing its a save call imo.

We should always include some bluffs.

Seems a bit odd that villain would show up here with KQs or KQo since he has alot of incentive to bet those OTF and less incentive to call with them on a board without clean outs . I gave vilain this range JJ,KdQd,KhQh,AdJd,AdJc,AhJc,AsJc,AcJd,AcJh,AcJs,KdQh,KdQs,KhQd,KhQs,KsQd,KsQh and it comes out at 31.25%

I find it difficult to assign him any pure bluffs as those would be a hand like QQ-KK that he got frustrated with or missed club/spade draws which i think would have been bet OTF or raised OTT maybe ?

This is my take on this but if ppl find my reasoning wrong od let me know :)

I don't think villain has KQ.

He could be slowplaying AA or have hit his set on the river. I don't think he would 3-bet 88 or 22 pre-flop, so we can eliminate a lower set. I think Ax hands would have bet the flop.

It's difficult to put him on any hand worse than hero's, but considering some Ax of clubs on his range that he would bluff with, I think it's very close between calling and folding, if we give villain only a few bluffs, than its closer to a fold than calling.

I think I would have called, but analyzing the hand here, I think it would be better to fold.

Sorry, equity calculations of this kind are kind of useless. Do you, for example, expect that villain calls on turn with 100% of his gutshot KQo getting 3.35:2 in pot odds? I'd love to play him. AJ and JJ are certainly in his range. But not all AJ should be counted (what worse could call a river raise)?

I still vote for a call. We are capped at TTT. You could fold 888 and worse if you want.

Before betting river, consider what you do against a raise. If you fold, then it is better to check-call (because you are nearly capped).
