My Poker Hands: Pokerhand Converter Feedback and Bugs

Hello everyone,

As of today you will find the option "My Poker Hands" in the second level navigation of the Strategy Section. Here you can convert hands and save them in your own online database.

In this thread we ask you to give feedback and to post bugs should you find any.

A couple of things to note beforehand:

- SNG/MTT support will follow. The converter is using the Elephant conversion codes and can therefore only do as much as the Elephant currently can. The development of the converter is however taking place completely independently, so that it is not influencing the development of the Elephant in any way.

- Hands without hero: At the moment it is not possible to convert hands in which hero did not receive cards. Such hands would not be able to be saved in the database correctly, if there wasn't a starting hand.

- Omaha: Just as SNGs, Omaha support will come in the future. It will however take longer since SNG/MTT will be made available for the Elephant sooner than Omaha.

We look forward to your Feedback, with which we can optimize and improve the PokerStrategy Hand Converter & Database even more.

Hey Soy,

This is an excellent addition to the PokerStrategy website and i must say a most welcome one. It will make converting hands more accessible now now rather than having to to find an external hand converter first.

One question i have is does it work with Holdem Manager or is it just for Elephant.

Regards,

-Steve

EDIT Never mind. I tested it all out and everything works perfectly.

Looks great :)

Finally I can easilly convert my PT3 hands to forum without using Elephant. Video replay looks good as well.

Just one thing, when I create link to a hand, like this one, it shows it as played on pokerstars, but it's from Mansion. Probably because of PT3 conversion, right? So if converter cannot recognize room, Stars are as default? Just want to make sure...

Keep up great work, Pokerstrategy ;)

Hallo PS-Team,

Looking good and nice functionality :)

I have a question. I haven't read through everything about it, but I have some suggestions. If they are already there, then feel free to call me dumb :)

1: Session posting. Multiple hands at same time. I know that's not there, but that would be nice.

2: database sharing. Making i.e. community friends able to dl your HHs so we can all get bigger databases?

Regards,
Kimber88

Hello, the feature is great, however the 1st hand I imported is replayed with bugs in the replayer.

http://www.pokerstrategy.com/hand/2512

If I press on this link and then chose to replay the hand it doesn't show who won the showdown(not a big deal), but when I go to my hands, select this hand and press view as videos, it shows that 88 hand wins!

One thing i have noticed is that when a converted hand is posted in the forum then the pot is described in BB's and not $'s. Is there anyway to make it display in $'s.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy hand converter:

Known players:
[tg]BU$3.51:///////;SB$29.03:///////;BB$7.89:///////;UTG1$9.40:///////;UTG2$22.71:///////;MP1$11.39:///////;MP2$3.40:///////;MP3$3.30:///////;CO$3.39:///////;[/tg]
$0.1/$0.2 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J:d, J:s.
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.80, 3 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (17.00 SB) 5:s, 3:d, 4:h (2 players)
BB bets $1.20, Hero raises to $2.50(All-In), BB calls.

Turn: (33.50 BB) 9:h (2 players)

River: (33.50 BB) 2:s (2 players)

Final Pot: 33.50 BB.

-Steve

It's a hint. FL is the game to play. The makers of the hand converter seems to know that

Hey promans,

As far as I know direct conversion from TitanPoker is not yet possible. You need to use a tracker program such as the Elephant (download here) or PokerTracker to 'grab' the hands before being able to convert them into readable format.

Hey guys,

The problem is that the converter does not yet support E-mail hand histories from PartyPoker - only the ingame hand histories. We still need to build-in the support for the E-mail hands.

The hand converter doesn't state that it is able to be used to convert iPoker hands, although it does convert them.

I find that the "Results" part of the converted hand omit the villians hands and correct final result of the hand. It does however inlcude the Heros hands result.... is this why iPoker is not listed and this is a known error?

I'm using the hand history directly from PT3.

Let's add one table so we can add stats on opponents similarly they're added in Elephant converter. Something like:

You convert hand, then there'll be question whether you want to add stats and if click "yes", you'll get empty table with involved players and you choose stats you want to add from roll-down menu and manually type the numbers.

I'm not sure if that makes sense, but can't explain it better atm..

Just a suggestion,

many players are using pokerhand converter in hand judging forums. And I like it as an option to review those hands in replayer ("play hand" link). It's a lot easier for me. But when I run it, I see opponent's hand directly from the beginning. Even when there is no result in posted hand, replayer will show it.
Is it possible to hide opponent's hand or at least show it not before showdown?
When I post a hand, I know the result so it's not a big deal. But for the others it's useless as it is now imo.
