I am 23yo monkey from Slovakia. I do poker for proffesion again for over 1 month when i finally decided to drop uni coz i couldnt really study and play both at the level i would be happy about.

I think this is a great chance to get bonds to a phantastic community, meet and live with nice people with a similar mindset, which i ve always strived for, since we all know how tiring and stereotypical the lonesome lifestyle of an online pokerplr can be.

For last half year i have already tried to set up some group of players willing to go to a taxfree country to enjoy all the benefits of living together abroad. Obviously cashing out without the doubts of being interrogated by sb is nice too, but what i was primarily looking for was just supporting the ever needed passion for the game, enjoy the lively nightlife in international style :), do fun activities in spare time, which normal mortals in our home surrounding dont rly want to do coz they cant afford it or feel bad abt letting sb to pay for it, and last but not least: always have sb who truly nderstands not just feels sorry, is pointing finger or is preachy from the nonpoker world. I was halfway on going to Malta a while ago, but my friend TwiceT decided not to so I also made my mind to let it be for a while.

As already mentioned I do poker for living and I pretty much dont do anything else, just sports other games, and generally enjoying life monkeystyle. This is also sth which I think is the biggest contribution I can do for the "poker flat". My enthusiasm for the game is possibly that of Gandhi's salt march :P. In short, nobody in my surrounding supported me when i was starting, i always had to go against everybody, threats were as big as being cast out of our flat. Luckily soon i could afford a one for me :). Also, I d like to think i am outgoing and friendly although the truth is i am not rly helpful in real life world :P. I cant rly cook or do anything too useful in the household but i am not too messy either. I like sports, dancing, movies, philosphy books, but most of all am a gaming addict.

Considering my shortterm future there are 2 ways i view it: Either stay in Slovakia with regular travelling abroad /tourneys, parties, etc/ or moving out. Since i am not applying for uni again this year, there is just poker and related lifestyle at least till Oct 2011. So if i get chosen that 1 year would be just about perfect for me. Frankly, I am interested in coming even if i wont be raffled and there will be some other ppl interested in taking some 2nd flat /let me know via ps/

Pokervise my plan is to play NL2k and 5k within next few weeks and i work on my game regularly. I got from NL2 to 1k within 1 year, then started to question the point of moving higher so nowadays mainly fooling around midstakes just to make some easy money. Since I am very competitive though i cant wait to play the highest i can get and this experience could also rent me the needed stimulus for the challenge. I also want to play tournament, travel around Europe a bunch, for EPTs at least, so would be nice to meet some MTTs guys or other than NL specialists. But I dont want to live with FL plrs!!! ♦ I also thought abt becoming a vid producer/coach for ps.com some time ago, though i didnt rly get "driven" in this direction sofar so much but might be a nice way to widen my horizons once i am in this kind of productive environment. I already had sth like 3 blogs running here with semiregular posting so I am definitely capable of running a new one if desired.

I am 20 years old and from Estonia. My main activity is poker and then comes school, also i like doing sport (skiing, swimming, cycling, running and so on :P). Men i really need free year from school (so take me).;) I started playing poker in this year march (okey i played earlier also, but like fishes do ♦, thanks to Ps i am not donkey any more :P) and i am improving quickly. I just play atm fixed limit holdem. First limit was 0,1/0,2 $ and some hours ago i had good mood and good run, so i took shot on 10/20$. Regularly I play FL 2/4 until 5/10.
I want to become pro and quickly. If i can come there and work with other poker players then it would be very nice opportunity for me. Hope to see u guys in Gibraltar
I forgot the main reason. These estonian bastards want to ban internet poker :(. So take me quickly. I dont want to come back here after one month. I love traveling and adventures :).

Kaitz i think u were still wrong. After half year we still have problems to play internet poker. So i still hope to get that flat. I dont know what should i do if i cant go there :(. Atm its one of my dream. Win WSOP and then get to Gibraltar and learn poker with other and then i can go and beat pros

I am 24 years-old, Brazilian, and a premature poker-pro. The cheap currency in my country allowed me to make a living out of poker while still playing low stakes. I started as an SSS player (now at mid-stakes), and poker has been my only source of income since June. At this very moment I am working on becoming a decent NL SH and HU player, and that is my goal for 2010. Living with other professional poker players, who will probably be more experienced than me, would be simply ideal for my situation since I'll be dedicating my time mainly to improving acquiring skills in the year to come and becoming a real poker-pro.

At the moment I share a flat with my brother - also a poker player - so I am already familiar with that type of environment. I'm also quite familiar with doing household chores and guarantee I'm not at all a troublesome or untidy flatmate ♦.

Given the fact that I do not go to university, nor have any job other than poker, nor have a girlfriend here, there would be no real difficulty in moving to Gibraltar for a year.

I'm 21 from Brazil. I've been supporting myself from poker for the last 6 months or so. (Started supporting myself in NL20 That was pretty risky I guess) I've been living with my brother in a shared flat and I don't study or anything. So I pretty much spend a lot of time with poker. It would be great to live with other poker players, as I'm sure it would be a great way to improve skillz ♠_cool:

It would also be awesome that I'd be able to meet people from the community, since for me, being in Brazil, it's not so easy to personally meet up with other players.

Seems like I´ve been here forever. After finding pokerstrategy.com site February 2007 I´ve been active member over 3.5 years. I´m 25 years old and coming from Estonia. Starting at fl 0.05/0.10, playing a while sss till nl50 and ending sh nl 200 I´ve met a lot of good players at different times. Also I´ve been volunteer judge and pro judge over a year. So I started at the bottom but really haven´t reached till the top which main reason is that I needed to go school, work and a lot of partying

Now I have to decide if I would become full time pro or go back to work. Since I have been partying and oversleeping last 4 months I feel that I really don´t want to be another clerk in the office, so I think poker is likely one of the best options. Since pokerstrategy has this great offer I would like to try out Gibraltar how much I can achieve with the support of smart poker players. But at the end it is always up to me if I can reach to the top.

So what I can give back J I try to play always my best came, analyze and improve my game at Gibraltar, give other persons advice, try to meet new friends and have fun while trying to make millions ♦ Of course I´d continue my job as nl forum hand judge and try also making videos to educate pokerstrategy members.

PS! And Estonia Government is not really going to ban internet poker. New law requires some rules, that would likely end some smaller Internet poker business activities in Estonia, but larger ones like FTP and Stars would remain.

not really; it's enough to reach diamond this month and apply, don't need to keep status for the next year - at least, that's how I understand it

Dutch CM told me otherwise
