Hi folks,

We are happy to announce the new release of the PokerStrategy.com Elephant. Version 0.85 is ready to download in our download section. The accompanying news entry is located here.

We especially like to point out the new SnG functionality, which enables you to analyse your single table and multi table SnGs. Currently PartyPoker, PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker SnGs are supported.

New Features:

  • General tournament support (SnG and SnG-MTT)
  • Tournament bankroll development analysis (graph)
  • Tournament bankroll development graph export
  • Tournament analysis including ITM, ROI and other statistics
  • Detail view for tournaments and hands
  • New presentation of winning hand (for tournament hands)
  • Localized hand details BB-code export (for tournament hands)
  • New language: Hindi
  • New setup process

Resolved Issues:

  • Created new parser framework
  • Replaced old PartyPoker parser
  • Replaced old PokerStars parser
  • Replaced old Full Tilt Poker parser
  • Highly improved import performance (by new parser framework)
  • Extended hand history support (by new parser framework)
  • Many HUD fixes
  • Extended localisation
  • Improved database performance

Outlook:
The first steps towards full SnG integration are taken and we're now following that road. Our next main goals are the integration of further parsers (e.g. iPoker), the design of a proper statistics engine and finally an improved HUD for SnG play.

Check out the Elephant blog for weekly updates on the development status and inside views of the development team.

Feedback:
Do you have any questions, suggestions, ideas or plain and simple feedback - Let us know. Feel free to use this Forum/Thread, or our UserVoice ( http://elephant.uservoice.com/ ) system to post your feedback.

Videos & Guides
In addition to the "Setup & Getting Started"-Guide a series of video guides is available to give you a hand with your first steps and to demonstrate the new functionality:

Cheers,
M.

Hi,

after i pressed cancel i can start the program but whenever i press anything inside (for example "hand histories") it tells me to create a database,
the problem is i dont know what the credntials are, i dont have any databse(nor do i know how to create it?) and i dont know what this postgreSQL is.

im sorry for all the trouble, i feel like my questions are really silly but i have no idea what to do, i also watched the english installition video and there it went diffrently than mine(after he finished installing elephant he got postgreSQL installition, i only got dialog in upper picture).

Hi,

You should have PostgreSQL installed on your computer. Can you please follow the instructions from the installation tutorial video http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/12228. It explains how to setup your database.

You don't need to install the Elephant again - just skip the video until the Elephant is started the second time and the well known database creation dialog appears.
