according to the nash equlibrium you can shove that AI preflop against BB - I'm a little sceptical about this Nash stuff, but it works out on the long run. Following this chart you can push 20+ BB with A5o. Nash ranges are really *wide* - I might check out the Sage system sometimes soon and elaborate on the differences between the 2...
Taking into account that you almost paid 1/10 of you stack for the SB - I think the shove wasn't too bad, specially as you were playing 6-handed - you would have probably starved to deatch anyway (assuming you won't get dealt AQ+/PP in the next couple of hands).

with 5bb you should shove pretty much any two , win hand and your stack size increase by 40%

I'm shoving A8 here every time vs BB..

having Ax is always good to push in your spot cos:

a) u having A blocks some comb. of AA (there are only 3 comb. left) and some Ax comb. that dominates u ( for ex. with u having A there are only 12 comb. of AK left out of 16) ...so u having A ,decreases probability that villains will have Ax hand by 30%
b) u have 60% + EQ vs most of the hands
c) u have at least 3 outs vs any hand if u r behind (expect vs AA)

so this is standard push

about pushing range ICM will probly tell u to push any 2, but i'll push in this spot something like this 65% of hands maybe little tighter cos i'm expecting to be called light lot of time so i want to have a hand that can win at showdown - 22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q2s+, J2s+, T2s+, 92s+, 85s+, 75s+, 65s, A2o+, K2o+, Q5o+, J7o+, T7o+, 97o+, 87o, 76o
