Hi,

You gotta know right from the start when you get KK against a bad short-stacking player it's gonna be very hard to find a fold postflop unless the board is A-high. He's likely somewhat hard to read so you'll never be sure he can't go broke with worse hands, hence why you shouldn't really consider folding.

I'd just look at his stack size on the flop, realize I can shove any turn if I pot the flop, and do exactly that.

As played it's fine as well, he's never folding a J. It's a bit odd that he didn't shove his last $1 in on the turn but again, who knows what he's thinking or not thinking.
