Hi

I'm completely new to PLO and am looking to get some direction on pre flop play. I'll post a couple of hands in each of a couple of threads to get a better indication of just how horribly I'm playing. If this format is a pain lemme know and I'll separate this into separate threads. Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

One question before I get started on something I've yet to work out. Is open limping acceptable play short handed? Or are we open raising or folding as standard?

Anyway, hands in raised pots:

BTW villians are unknowns unless stated, but assume they are typical for micro PLO limits.

i.

Full Tilt Poker $5.00 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players
SB: $1.95
BB: $5.00
UTG: $5.31
MP: $1.87
CO: $10.91
Hero (BTN): $5.33

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is BTN with 9♦ T♦ 7♥ 2♥
UTG raises to $0.17, MP calls $0.17, CO calls $0.17, Hero?

With a lack of connectivity, getting ~3.5:1 and likely position is this a fold?

Full Tilt Poker $0.02/$0.05 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 5 players

BTN: $3.13
SB: $6.46
Hero (BB): $8.86
UTG: $5.00
CO: $6.42

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is BB with 7♥ 6♦ J♠ 8♦
1 fold, CO raises to $0.10, BTN calls $0.10, 1 fold, Hero?

So hands with gaps to the top card are weaker than hands with gaps to the bottom card. v a min raise and cold call are these kinda hands okay to call? What if we were on the BTN and facing one raiser?

Full Tilt Poker $0.02/$0.05 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 5 players

SB: $3.15
BB: $6.51
Hero (UTG): $6.97
CO: $5.00
BTN: $7.90

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is UTG with 8♠ T♣ K♥ J♥
Hero calls $0.05, CO raises to $0.22, BTN calls $0.22, 2 folds, Hero ?

I feel dirty open limping so advice on this would be appreciated too. As played are we too often dominated here to call the raise and therefore should fold as standard?

Full Tilt Poker $0.02/$0.05 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players

BB: $3.40
UTG: $6.51
Hero (MP): $7.02
CO: $2.06
BTN: $5.00
SB: $5.83

CO posts a big blind ($0.05)

Pre Flop: ($0.12) Hero is MP with Q♦ 6♣ J♣ 9♣
1 fold, Hero calls $0.05, CO checks, 1 fold, SB raises to $0.25, BB calls $0.20, Hero?

Aside from whether or not we call here, how does this hand compare to hand iii? Is it weaker, stronger or so similar as to make no difference?

Nothing wrong with folding marginal spots until you get more accomplished at making the correct post flop decisions.
Personally I'd play the KJT8 as it can make a few more nut hands than the rest. The QJ96 hand with 3 clubs in is very weak and is an easy fold.

J876 is also an easy fold. The only nut straight you make is a 654 or 543 board, which means you're hoping to be paid off by 73/32 or 62/A2 all of which are very unlikely, this is why it's a fold. :f_biggrin:
