No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB ($106.15)
UTG ($104.20)
UTG+1 ($145.35)
MP1 ($61.65)
Hero (MP2) ($102)
MP3 ($245.25)
CO ($142.90)
Button ($110.95)
SB ($118.35)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8, 6
UTG bets $2.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.50, MP3 calls $2.50, 4 folds

Flop: ($9) Q, A, 4 (3 players)
UTG bets $5, Hero calls $5, 1 fold

Turn: ($19) 5 (2 players)
UTG bets $10, Hero raises $29, 1 fold

Total pot: $39

UTG is playing 15/13 200 hands,

I really wasn't too sure how to play this hand. Is it best to raise the flop direct, consider slow playing to the river, he might barrel AK or AQ on all 3 streets?

I fold preflop from MP2. There is too many players behind you. And generally, I like SC or suited onegappers IP only if there are 2 players at least in the hand, not just vs original raiser.

On the flop, you have to protect and get it in vs K  or AQ already on the flop.. I raise 15$ so that it does not look that strong, but I definitely raise, your hand can be still outdrawn.

yes, it's hard to disguised the strength of your hand even when you just call and a decent villain can probably just check/fold if another  appears.

so I prefer to raise on the flop when your ranges at its widest (e.g. you could be doing this with something like K :heart:Qx) so villain will have a hard time getting away from a strong Ax

I'm not only concerned about getting blown off the hand preflop:
If you get to the flop, most of the time you have to make marginal calls with some kind of draw and usually you don't have many implied odds as a lowcard board will usually scare UTG.
Additionally if you end up in a multiway pot you'll always have the worst flush once the money goes in.

As played I'd also raise the flop because IMO it doesn't necessarily look weaker than calling - so we can get max value right away.
If the opponent ever thinks we're semibluffing we might even be able to stack his AA/QQ/AQ.
