Hey,
A pot size raise is a bet/raise that gives your opponent 2:1 pot odds (at best).
To make a pot size raise, raise to: 3 * size of opponent's bet/raise + size of pot before your opponent's bet/raise was made.
Examples:
So if you are first to act preflop it is 3 * size of big blind + small blind => 3.5 big blinds
Two limpers and no raise yet: 3 * size of blind + small blind + the amount of the limpers => 5.5 big blinds
There is a raise to 4 big blind and no limper or coldcaller: 3 * size of the raise + small and big blind => 13.5 big blinds
