Do you think it is better to concentrate on one type of poker, or to study multiple ones? I'm currently only playing and reading strategy articles about NL FR Holdem, and I'm not sure whether playing some SH tables would improve my game.

A lot of people say that playing different variations of Poker helps all aspects of the game.
The most common one is PLO and NLHE. Playing the two will help.
In my experiences SSS has helped my BSS game a lot and SSS has helps my push/fold game in MTTs a lot.
Also, BSS has helped me to play deep in MTTs.

As a beginner concentrate on one and once you get good at it you can switch to something else, no point in knowing a bit of everything when you could know a lot on one thing and make decent money imo.
i would say start with NL cash game, either SSS or BSS, i went with SnGs which i can only really play online, cash games are always played in the casinos and when u play with your friends, meaning you can take all your friends money 
Thanks for the replies. They kinda contradict each other, but it's good to know that there are multiple opinions on this. I think I will stick with the BSS NL2 FR for now. I'd like to play SSS, but I'm playing on Full Tilt and there's only a couple shallow stack tables at the limit where I should play and there seems to be at least 2 shortstackers at each table every time I check.

I would say playing two or three would be more effective because then you would have much more options to play with, As a beginner one should go with only one game to start with and to get perfect.
reading about poker strategy would be really beneficial towards your playing.
