Hi,
reason why I'm asking is my yesterdays night out that ended up with me being drunk and cocky about what I do and how much money I make.
Now, before anyone else says it, I admit I feel like a complete douche today.
The amounts I make are really nothing compared to what other guys do, however in countries with lower standard even something like $3-4k is enough for a really really nice life.
So my question is aimed more towards guys and girls from poorer parts of the world, where average monthly income is less than $1k.
Do you tell people what you do or how much money you make?
You will agree that in almost any conversation the subject of what you do will come up really fast.
I discovered that if I mention that I play poker for living I'm usually not taken seriously by most of the people and then end up justifying myself with the fact how lucrative this "job" is and I almost always get this feeling people are left with disblief and confusion. Also I get some envy, which is not something I enjoy or want by any means.
And there is this bad side of making yourself a target for fake friends and materialistic girls. (not that its something too difficult to recognise but still..)
Now, if I was making some sick money of course I would never mention sums, but for now $$$ is simply decent and nothing special imho.
I would appreciate some experiences, bcs right now I have mixed feelings about all this.
After last night it kinda crossed my mind I should make a coverup story and keep my blabber shut in order to socialise normally.
And yeah I remeber there was similar thread open, but I can't find it, so if anyone does, pls post link. Thanks
