[Closed] NL100 SH trying to get tricky vs reg and trying to make him fold better hands

Dont think it would be a big mistake to just fold pre. You are 1/2 stacked and your hand relies heavily on implieds - you are dominated most of the time and rarely drawing to the nuts, so i like to be able to win a big pot to justify playing it oop.

As played dont think this is the guy to bluff - he looks pretty tight.

He also bets turn and since he has to fear you have turned a flush (he will put Jx and flushdraws in your flop calling range) this shows Quite some strength imo. He could easily ch/back Jx here to potcontrol.

My first thought as well. The hand is too weak to call, especially given the stacksizes. I might call it on the button though.

As played on the turn at first I thought it could be a decent spot to turn the hand into a bluff and shove it in.
But then I did the math: we risk 42 for a total of 72, so it has to work 42/72=0.58=58% of the time.

Even though he should be capable of folding TP and even overpairs unless he has a spade to go with them, those without spade make up for only (roughly) half the number of combinations - and he will sometimes even make a loose call with the other ones.

So imo c/f turn. I'd still c/c the flop since I expect him to cbet too often - our equity vs his range is too good to just c/f.

I sussed out his ugliest range vs me. Most two pairs and draws and most jx and I beat like 32/400 combos lol if he called 100% of the time with his range.
