i keep getting that msg when tryng to create database.not sure what to do

Hey biogear,
im pretty sure you are using the wrong username / password combination.
If you can't remember the correct username / password I suggest you uninstall postgreSQL and the postgreSQL service user and install it again afterwards. Please see this thread for further information about uninstalling postgreSQL:

May be you`d better try next logins\passwords:
postgres\postgrespass
postgres\dbpass
