Hey guys, firslty im sorry if i made an incorrect post as its my first one in hand evaluation forums.

Boss Media (IPN) No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - BossMedia Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

MP ($100)
Hero (BB) ($309.41)
UTG ($95.50)
SB ($100.30)
CO ($101.55)
Button ($105.05)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5, 5
UTG bets $2.87, MP calls $2.87, 1 fold, Button calls $2.87, SB calls $2.37, Hero calls $1.87

Flop: ($14.35) 10, 5, Q (5 players)
SB bets $8, Hero calls $8, UTG calls $8, MP calls $8, 1 fold

Turn: ($46.35) 10 (4 players)
SB bets $1, Hero raises $37.26, 3 folds

Total pot: $48.35 | Rake: $2.40

Results:
Hero didn't show 5, 5.
Outcome: Hero won $45.45

I think i got too scared by a possible higher full house and a river overcard to make my 55's useless. 4 people in the hand one has to go have a 10 in my opinion and a river card might bust me? Did i lose all the value with that turn raise?

Thanks in advance

I think the reraise was to big, probably would of called and hope that someone else bets thier draw/Q hand

I dont think a T would fold here but you definately lost value from any Q or Jk/K9 the only bad rivers are T or Q so I think it was bit strong. I think your reraise would of looked like a T hand to villan so you made it an easy fold for them

My thinking was 3 people in the hand, probably one with top pair, one with a draw and last one? When i raised i was hoping for a a guy with a 10s to shove and get him all in before the river card.

My image on that particular table is somewhat loose( for regs) and aggresive and i thought maybe they would put me on a bluff or perhaps a draw.

Thinking back on it i played it pretty badly although maybe somewhat safe.

Anyhow would you really suggest just calling 1 from the initial agressor? I think the other 2 would have called it anyways and i was risking a river card for free.

Yeah its tricky I hate those min raises if there was just you and the initial raiser I would just treat the min raise as a check and just reraise but probably only about half pot.

But with 2 more players behind if you reraise then the actions not finished and the initial raiser could come over the top after the other 2 call. Making it look less inviteing for them to play weaker hands. Just my view I will be interested to see what the hand judge says

Yeah I definitely want to raise the turn for value but we can make it more like $20 I guess. We want the guys with the KJ and Qx to come along, not fold.

I dont think we need to worry about being outdrawn here (assuming we are ahead on the turn). Only a Q on the river would be a real problem for us.

Hi Daenerys!

Welcome to the NL BSS Gold Hand Evaluation Forum!
You posted the hand in a perfectly fine way :).

I thought about it for a while now, but I think preflop and on the flop we can't do anything else.

I thought about raising the flop because by calling we offer such great odds for the guys behind us, but we cannot balance this at all so it will be very clear to everybody that we have at least QT+, so we won't get much value.

On the turn I agree with the previous posters that raising is fine.
I'd also make it a bit smaller, $24 seem good to me (1/2 pot).
If somebody shoves it in we have to fold though, I think we're beaten by a higher FH 100% of the time.

Best regards,
Phil

Phil, you mean higher FH, right?

On the turn, its only QT and QQ that beat us, I think? [and TT for Quads as well].

Wont we see ATs/KTs getting it in on the turn as well? Maybe even J :spade:K :spade:

thanks

Ok, thanks - but still im interested in why you give such tight broke range.

Wont we see ATs/KTs getting it in on the turn as well? Maybe even J Spade K Spade

what do you think?

The pot is 4 way so the chances of anyone having a set are down to 55. So any with a 10 card on the turn is justified to shove the money right? Its extremeley unlikely that anyone would QQ or 1010 so 55 is the only hand to beat 10s. Or am i wrong in my thinking?

It was even 5way on the flop, therefore I'm not sure if he would really shove the turn with Tx...
