Villain is unknown but most likely fishy given pf play. When he calls flop I say most his range is weak Ax, FDs sometimes 9x, PPs and occasionally slow played sets and two pairs but I'd expect to be c/r most the times with these. After call turn I figured he had mostly small Ax and FD's.

If you want to fish fold Ax you likely have to overbet shove river, but even then he might just c/c. So I´d likely just give up. You can bet 22$ hoping he would fold everything worse than Ax, but his hand range has so much Ax that I don´t think it would work that often

I bet $24 and got called :( I had his range totally wrong because he showed up with AKo here. Bad bet on my part. I still think the $24 gets small Ax to fold sometimes and his range is def wider than Ax. Do you think a shove gets more folds or is just burning money?

Do you have to bet the turn vs a random fish here?

You don't have to but you will probably need to hit your flush to win the pot.

Our equity is a lot lower when the turncard isn't a  so we are infact the underdog when he calls.. it's not really a valuebet more of a semibluff. It always feels like such a "waste" when he calls

The J is kind of a blank so we don't have much extra FE here on the turn imo. This isn't the kind of board texture I would usualy double barrel on either..
I prefer keeping the pot smaller vs a fish and hopefully be able to go broke when the flush hits on river.

I think he would someitmes call you down with Ax. It depends a lot of his timing tell, if he is instantly c/c turn then I doubt he would even fold to your overbet shove
