I actually watched part of it because of my mum calling me to watch part of it. They seem great together, hope she lasts longer than Diana.

Yeah I enjoyed it, always good to have a little pomp and circumstance (no puns please, too easy ) occasionally.
Got to say though that not continuing her previous love of see through dresses was a mistake though. 
On a serious note, got to love their composure under so much pressure, would make good poker players

The class across the hall from me did a "tea party" to celebrate! They had crowns, union jacks etc... even the teacher and the assistants dressed up in their finery.

Can't see why this is even worth of mentioning. Couple of people having their dream wedding for taxpayers money and everyone loves them for it.

I did watch some program today taking the pisss out of what everyone was wearing which was more my kinda thing ♦
It was pretty disappointing to hear the BBC World Service broadcasters going on about the wedding dress, the kiss, and other such trivial fluff - so much for quality journalism. The Australian ABC seems to be just about the only good radio broadcaster left.

You don't live in the UK so you aren't in my rant, but i pretty much think those who say it's crap, spends taxpayers money etc are idiots. Stop being so boring and grumpy. It's part of british monarchy tradition, it brings communities together, all ethnic backgrounds, and is a great atmosphere - something which doesn't seem to happen nowadays, what with all the foreign wars, governments, etc. It's all doom and gloom. But then when there's breath of fresh air, some people moan?!

Why is that trivial stuff? It's what the listeners want to hear about. The kiss itself is a big thing, being made famous by Will's mum and dad. Did you not hear the crowd chant kiss, kiss, kiss. When there's thousands outside a palace chanting that, and it's famous anyway, surely that is something to talk about?!

sry I'm ignorant when it comes to British politics.. But does the royal family get money from taxpayers? Don't they own stuff that generates them enough income to not need taxpayers money?
I would think at least having a royal family would cost less for tax payers than a normal president...
