[Closed] NL200 top pair vs aggro fish

I'd 3b pre. I'd also probably raise this flop, there are QJ and 89 with draws, he also might call any Tx and 7x, regarding his fishiness.

I agree with z1pz0r, we should 3bet preflop for value.

As played I like the plan of calling down 3 streets no matter what since he's so aggro and generally vs those guys the best way is to induce.

When he checks the river I'm also betting, but vs the checkraise I'd fold.
We said that if he bets 3 streets his range is weak/mostly air, but that means if he checks his range is stronger.
He's probably checking medium strength hands to get a cheap SD and strong hands to trap, but he's not checkraising the medium hands.
Therefore as you say he has a polarized range, but there are only few bluffs (if any).

The only reason I didn't 3bet preflop is because he is so aggro that I was scared of a 4bet. In another hand he 4bet/called a shove from the SB vs BB with AJo. I figured that if I flop a pair with KQ in position, I am golden.

Anyways, I would never call on the river against any player I consider to be decent, but against him I just couldn't give him credit for anything. I was certain that he would barrel 3 times with any big hand, and his oversized c/r on the river seemed like he wanted no call. I also feel that if I bet closer to the size of the pot on the river, he wouldn't have been induced to make this big c/r, but because my hand looks to be of medium strength he was more inclined to try and take me off it.

The donkey that I am, I called and he showed up with the A 8 so lucky me; but again against any competent player I agree that this would be a certain fold.
