Deep into one MTT

15 out of 2100 left

Villain: Unknown (just got moved to this table)

Do you think that bet / call is fine in this case vs Unknown, or bet / fold is better?

I was considering bet fold, since I still have playable stack left, and ICM implications since we are close to the final table, but he has 4s,5s, 6s in his range as well as 8s, 9s. I think Ts+ he would 3bet PF most likely.

i dont think you can ever fold here, if you give him the range of 44-TT and from time to time spazy AJs(4 combos) you are flipping against that range, so easy call and hope for the best

probably going to sigh and bet/fold

this deep you pretty much cant take anything out of his range - sure you can weight it towards <QQ but villians will flat here JJ and TT and play like this.

if you consider it this way - and assume villian is good. then in his mind you are never folding overpair and he won't ever want to valueown hisself --> he won't shove worse PPs. Imo his shove is just to try and to level you to call.

well, yeah, its read dependant, but if there is 44-77 in villains range, i am pretty sure he is just shipping them on the flop

imo you are going to see 99+ here so much of time

and besides its so retarded to ship any kind of pair on this board given the stacks

yeah it is, but there are loads of such players

yeah lol

@ OP can you post results after hand judge comments? i'm interested - assuming you lost the hand

i am pretty sure he lost it, just because he is posting it(being oriented, that more people post hands they loose than win) i would just scope the person and then its an easy decision

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the feedback!

@ phantommm92:

1. I agree with you a lot of PPL ship any pocket in that spot, since the level themselves that I have AK-AQ (or something like that)

2. Isn't is forbidden to check PPL while playing of FTP? I play mostly on Poker Stars and there it is.

@amplifyd:

1. Sure I'll post the results after the hand judge give opinion.

2. Mind line of toughs was the same, a decent player would have a strong range, making it bet / fold.

Its very read dependent, bet / call vs some, bet / fold vs others.

My point is that he is unknown, so my decision is in a vacuum. Hence, some parts of his range I dominate / some dominates me (decent player / fish) If we give him a range of 4s-6s, 8s-Ts, we have ~ 48.7% equity. Giving the good pot odds it makes it a call.

Let me know if it makes any sense to you?

we are making the assumption he plays his entire range the same way, which imo is not the best assumption to make

Quote from the FTP rules:

Not Permitted During Play

2. Programs or services that provide additional information on opponents that a player would not normally be privy to:

Certain programs, websites, and subscription services provide extra information on opponents which may not be used during play. For example, the use of shared databases of tournament histories, results, and statistics are not permitted. Specific examples include:
SharkScope
Top Shark
Smart Buddy
Poker Table Ratings

But I've read also on some forums that PPL do it and nobody seems to care :)

As long as they don't lock my account, I don't have a problem with it

imo if he is flating KK/AA pre he is never shoving them on that flop so imo he never has aa/KK

as played i do think that chances villain having 44-66=<88-QQ

i think that is more unlikely villain to have random AJ+ hand or KQ in this spot

@amplifyd
I agre that you are going to see 99+ here so much of time

but i dont think that its so retarded to ship any kind of pair on this board given the stacks

they have 20bb effective stack before hand begin and if villain just calls pot will be ~130k with ~140k effective stacks left behind

and btw if i 'm planing to get it in with heros hand I'll Cbet bigger here so i can shove turn

why u think so.. villain is almost pot commited if he calls on flop ~pot bet left behind so is not like hero can barrel 3 streets put max presure on villain and move villain of some hands

imo people level them self into calling in that spot way too much so villain can value shove like 99+ and get call by something like AK,44+

btw buy in is key here (i think for shoving as played if hero is in villain spot => is it bad or no)

btw when villain shoves as i said before imo we can eliminate only kk/AA in villain pre cold calling range cos if he was slowplaying them pre imo he will slow play the on this flop too

ok ok its not 'so retarded' - but its certainly better to call imo

obv, thats why we are better players ;)

really ugly spot. i think against better players its an easy fold because they don't really call low pps against you in that spot.
just use opr (thats allowed in most pokersites) and check the player and decide then!
