I have two questions:

1. Should I have pushed here instead of raising (pretty sure I know the answer to this)?
2. As it is should I have folded the BB push?

I have tried to enter this in the ICM Nash calculator but it doesn't allow you to enter a payout structure with more than 5 places.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$500/$1000 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Known players:
[tg]CO$5800.00:///////;BU$11660.00:///////;SB$4560.00:///////;BB$29003.00:///////;MP3 (Hero)$16477.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 7:s, 7:h.
Hero raises to $3,000.00, 3 folds, BB raises to $29,003.00, Hero calls $13,477.00(All-In).

Flop: ($45980) 3:c, J:c, J:s (2 players)

Turn: ($45980) 2:c (2 players)

River: ($45980) 2:h (2 players)

Final Pot: $45980.

Ok I am not a MTT player but I can tell you this :

First raise 2.5x time is more than enough pre, you can call the small stack shove and fold to the big stack 3 bet AI.

As played I def fold to his push, you are 2nd big stack and you are quite risk averse for top 3 places. It also depends a bit on your read if BB is crazy loose then I guess calling could be fine.

I can only agree with this.
A smaller raise has the same effect and folding to BB's shove is necessary since you are kind of deep - not in big blinds, but compared to the other stacks.
