I think your idea is good but the alternitive you provide is pretty whacky, a better option would be for them to just lower the rake? Nice simple answer

my sorest rake point is that all sites rake a split pot, so its actually possible to win a hand yet lose money, disgraceful
No offense steli21es but you are dreaming. Why would the rooms change their rake system? Where would the bonus and other promotions come from?
A good player that makes good playing volume gets back a pretty nice chunk of the rake he/she is paying through rakeback, rakeback races, fidelity systems and bonuses. I think it is only fair that good players are awarded and bad players are not. Again, why would poker rooms lower their rakes that allow them to reward, and keep loyalty of their best (or at least more important because of the volume) players? That makes no sense to me.

PartyPoker as a removed entry fees on MTTs until further notice. But that is far as it goes so far. I am not aware of iPoker starting rakefree tables but I play on Titan so i will find soon enough

Oh really, wow that is worth knowing. I have always thought raking split pots was so wrong. I have always avoided PKR due to the slower games/less Hands per hr, but hearing that it doesn't rip you off in split pots is making me reconsider. Thanks for the info.
They did not used to but it has been a long time so things might have changed. ♦

Yea, that gets me aswell you split the pot and still lose are 0.5bb maybe OP should change this to a Rakefree split pots thread? Im all up for that. Im not up for them changing it to a confusing rake system, sure it could be less but taking x per pot in x limit is a lot easier.
Interestingly on PP the $600+40 just became $640+0, $200+15 = $215+0 and $90+9 is just $99.
The smaller stakes seem to have actually become less expensive to enter.

PKR rakes 10% though, if memory serves, I'm sure they want to seem nice by not raking splitpots because they sure as hell need it...

y have a paralel comparation with online sporting bets-- fotball tenis.. bwin bet 365.. betfair.and 150 more. only take rake for profit only 2-6%...... and they have online server to manage.. database to keep records.. and more expenses just like poker sites. and they have too reward for best players... so it can be done
